What is the purpose of the game?
If you are on the townie side, you want to vote out all those on the mafia side.
If you are on the mafia side, you want to vote out all those on the townie side.
How do I vote? What is involved?
Each day all players are allowed to vote for whomever they believe is mafia. Since all roles remain anonymous, mafia members will vote along with the townies.
Each day a new thread will be made and will open up with a narrative. Each player then has the chance to vote off another player. Simply type in BOLD for whom ever you wish to vote against. Example: Vote Khushrenada. Although, that's a bad example. You'd never want to actually vote for me. You may change your vote as much as you like, but any old votes must remain legible. Simply edit the post, unbold the vote, and make a new post with the new vote. So, you're old vote should look something like this: un-Vote Khushrenada. That is a much better example of how to play the game.
What is a mafia hit?
Since the mafia is a small group of players, the mafia are able to make one hit every night and eliminate a player from the game. These are not based on calendar numbers, but rather on game days. The only one who may contact the host with the kill is the Godfather.
How is a winner determined?
For the townies to win, they need to eliminate all mafia members from the game.
For the mafia to win, they only need to tie the game. I.E., there are two townies left and two mafia members left.
What happens if the vote is a tie?
In the event of a tied vote, there will be an overtime, sudden death voting period of 30 minutes. The only vote that may be cast is for one of the players who were tied at the end of voting.
As soon as a vote is cast that breaks the tie, the day vote is immediately ended and the player with the majority is eliminated regardless of how much time is left in the sudden death period. The vote that is cast can either be from a player that hasn't voted yet that day or from a player changing his vote from earlier in the day.
If the tie is unresolved after 30 minutes, then the vote is nullified and both players will live to see another day.
The Roles

Townie Roles
Protector - The protector has a supply of 5 invincibility barrels that he can give to whomever he chooses except himself, oddly enough. The invincibility lasts for a night and will protect a player from being hit by the mafia. The recipient of the protection will not be announced unless there was a hit placed on them. Otherwise, only the fact that a barrel was used will be announced. In a final twist, the protector can use as many barrels as he wants on any day. It is up to him to judge how best to use his precious supply.
Nullifier - The nullifier has an unlimited supply of "X" barrels that he can use. These can be used to nullify any vote cast of their choosing. They can only nullify one vote each day. The nullifier can use this power to break a tie in the vote. However, he cannot use this power to create a tie vote.
Mafia Roles
Godfather - The godfather is the head of the mafia and is responsible for sending in the hit order each night. The person being hit is his choice but he would be wise to listen to suggestions from his crew. Only a hit order sent in by the godfather will be accepted by the host. If the godfather is killed during the game, he is responsible for telling the host which of his mafia members he wants to become the new godfather. As an aside, the mafia uses steel barrels to ensure their victims are properly harmed.
Henchman 1, 2, and 3 - These are the godfather's mafia members. They have no special powers asided from knowing who one another are.
Quick Notes on the Roles for Mafia Veterans
Protector = Doctor - Has 5 protections. They protect against a night hit but not a day vote. Doctor can not protect himself. Can use 1-5 protections in a single day if he wants.
Nullifier = Townie Whore - Can cancel any person's vote each day. 1 vote per day. Can break ties but can not create ties.
Godfather - sends in hit order. Assigns new godfather if killed.
There is no investigator. You are on your own.
If the doctor or godfather is killed in the day vote, they are unable to perform actions that night. Thus there would be no protection given or no hit would occur.
The mafia is made up of 4 members. The godfather and 3 henchman.
