After three days, 119 articles, 4 podcasts, a thousand miles of walking, and 11 cases of complete exhaustion E3 is finally over.  In this last episode we gathered everyone up that was still around, and asked them what they did on their last day.

The E3 2009 field crew would like to thank Karl Castaneda for his help with the daily podcast.

Note: If you aren't already subscribed to one of the feeds or through iTunes, this would be a good week to start. Episodes may show up for subscribers significantly earlier than we can post articles for them.

I still haven't read a lot of the impressions which have been posted so maybe I'll just listen to these instead.

You should definitely do both. The podcasts are a brief summary of our E3 impressions -- we don't cover as many games, and we don't cover them in as much depth. It's just not possible in a hour.

I'll probably read through them sometime when I have the time but for now these are easier.

Dang, NWR did a good and thorough job covering E3 this year. Better than GoNintendo, better than IGN, better than 1up really.

I don't know if it was due to the large team or a highly organized plan, but it was the best E3 reporting the site has ever done. I hope you guys can send a bunch of people to other events in the future such as GDC or PAX.

Indeed.  Great coverage this year guys!  Any chance you could post video interviews and demos next year?  Or a video podcast since you're all in the same room.

Video podcasts would not have been very good.  We were looking like disasters, and our room was not exactly photogenic.

This, my friends, is your gimmick for your video reviews. Messy gamers with clean delivery of your opinions.

I would think that our voices and slightly skewered speech would give away how we probably all looked like hell.

All the kinds words are very very welcome. We all put in our all to get stuff up whether it was impressions, previews, news, or videos.

You guys did a fantastic, bang-up job this year.  NWR has much to be proud of.

Agreed.

Agreed.  Out of curiousity, how NWR many people were on the E3 team?   I don't think I was aware that so  many people actually were there until I heard James' comments about kicking the workaholics out of the media room. :)

By the way, I did enjoy hearing impressions about the other games that NWR wouldn't usually cover.

I think there was something of a rundown at the beginning of this show of where everyone was. We had 11 people I think.

Big thanks to all you guys for the praise, it's much appreciated! We definitely busted our asses to get everything out to you guys (and are still working on more stuff). I'm extremely proud of everyone on the E3 team, and everyone on the home team, Pedro Hernandez, Luke Balicki, Mike Gamin, and Carmine Red. It was all a joint effort and I feel like the end product was something we can all be proud of.

Did anyone get to try Little King's Story at E3?  I guess that's coming out in a few weeks so it wasn't a high priority.

It wasn't playable on the show floor. XSEED had a little tiny meeting room where they did presentations of their games. I saw Little King's Story in motion and it looked phenomenal, however I was not allowed to play it. We will be getting a review copy of it very soon though, so keep an eye out for a review hopefully prerelease.

Just finished the last podcast of your E3 coverage last night. All of you did an incredible job giving us impressions and information. I'll be busy reading them for awhile. I hope all of you got some rest after all your hard work.

I forgot to say big ups to Karl for putting this together. Is there a paypal donation link to buy Jonny as hiss-free mike?

The issue wasn't so much Jonny's microphone as much as in order to record we all had to be a ways away from the microphone. Karl can correct me if I'm wrong here, but the hiss was more from signal noise amplified along with the voices, then filtered out with limited success. I had to turn the recording input volume on my laptop to 100% to get something audible--I leave it at 25% when recording myself for Radio Trivia on a unidirectional microphone.

Yeah, TYP's right. The higher you turn up the input volume, the more signal feedback you're going to get. It's unfortunate, but there wouldn't have been another way to get one mic to pick them all up.

There are a few options, but the guys had to put something together on short notice, so they did the best they could with what they had.
