Looks like that ICO Team game has stealth in it. I hate stealth so no buy.

Also LOL at Sony pushing that ridiculous 10 year life cycle.

ICO Bird dog looked sickly and it might be nest if someone just put that thing down.

GoW3 looked pretty good, and I also noticed that he had unlimited health on so he could just go all out for the demo.

& its also good to see that not everything about the Sony show was leaked ahead of time.

Well, the sony show was a bit dry and started slow, but they certainly had some great exclusives in there so I'm happy.

GOD 3
Uncharted 2
Gran Turismo 5
Guardian
Agent
Mod Racers
MAG
FF14
New Rachet

Definitely enough in there to keep me busy.

I only liked Shadow of the Colossus(and even then I hated the crappy framerate). Anyway the Sony conference ended decently. Had a couple surprises but not sure if it was anything ground breaking that will pull them out of 3rd.

ICO's MonsterDog trumps ALL other announcements.  Sony wins.  No contest.

How do you figure?

I'd imagine since it requires not one, but 2 peripherals to even use, both of which don't come with the system.

Sorry, I misread BNM's post.  I thought he was implying that this would be cheaper than Natal.

Yeah, I just meant that whoever is gonna buy the camera, the controllers and the game probably isn't also gonna forkover money for the foam tennis racket/golf club/baseball bat controller cover.

So what happened at Sony's conference?

I tried compiling my posts and a few other observations:

There's some footage of Uncharted 2. It's a pretty intense and scripted demo with rooftop jumping and a firefight with a helicopter.

Now there's a live, 256-player match in MAG. (For that many players, it seemed kinda quiet...)

PSP talk: trying to expand their market share with more bundles. Hanna Montana bundle just got some cheers from... adult males?
PSP Go is revealed. It's half as small and 40% as light as previous models and includes a 16G hard drive. It's also referred to as "E3's worst kept secret," so I imagine those interested probably already know about these details. Priced at $249.99.
Lowering the price of PSP dev kits.

A true GT sequel for PSP 2010.

Kojima announces MG Peacewalker for PSP, which is a "true sequel" set in the 70s after Snake Eater and looks to have 4-player co-op.

PS1 games will be available for download on PSN, with FF7 to lead the pack - starting today.

Rockstar is making a game called Agent exclusively for PS3. It's set in the 70s and takes players across the world as an ...agent.

Assassins Creed 2 will be set in/during the Italian Renaissance. Apparently, Leonardo Da Vinci will make your devices for espionage.
Da Vinci.

FF13 trailer looks gorgeous. FF14 revealed as another online title exclusively (?) for PS3.

ModNAtion Racing is the next title in the LBP-style user-created-focused content genre. Track creation is done simply by driving around to create it (elevation is controlled with right stick). Then you can use tools to add objects and alter the terrain and even the sun's position in the sky.

ICO Team's latest is The Last Guardian. It appears to be an interesting mix of ICO (castle-climbing puzzles with a CPU-controlled partner) and Shadow of the Colossus (fighting giant climbable bosses). You're (another) clumsy boy, but this time you work along with a giant pet bird-dog.

This just in: GT5 to bring more realism.

God of War 3 looks solid. And gory, very gory. It's due for release in March 2010.

Also tomorrow is SquareEnix and Konami's conference's should I change the topic title to Microsoft,Sony and third party's conferences?

Sounds like a good idea.

Just edited the OP. It isn't complete. I will do the 3rd parties after Konami's conference and update the Sony part if there is more media then.

Well, as I had expected only The Last Guardian stood out with me among the crap that Sony was shoveling today in that Press Conference.  I love the FF franchise generally, but I despise MMOs so XIV is dead in the water already.  Didn't particularly like God of War 1, so God of War 3 just does nothing for me.  And outside a few games I can't see why anyone would care about a PSP that can only download games at this point.  Great show, Sony.  You made Microsoft and Nintendo's conferences look like works of art.

I though their Eyetoy2 w/ motion controller bulb was interesting.
If all that stuff came with the system, it might be really popular with some decent software.

Exactly, as it stands it will probably sink and die like the first Eyetoy.

The thing is, I don't see that hardware making their system more popular because it's still too expensive for the average consumer who cares about motion-sensing to afford.  Plus, I only caught bits and pieces of that portion of the press conference but I don't believe they demo-ed that peripheral with any actual games, just tech demos.  If all these companies can't get motion sensing right with the Wii (which they've already had several years of practice with) I don't see why they'd suddenly get it right with Sony and make a compelling experience.  Sony's just started experimenting with this stuff, and Nintendo's already at least 2 years ahead of them.

Also with Wii motion Plus it is cheap enough, and does a seemingly good enough job in many ways comparable to the EyeToy2 but it can be packed in with games without jacking up the price much.
