NES Contra will probably never come to VC.

Why must Konami give me another reason to hate them?

Is it really the SNES version of Zombies Ate My Neighbors?  I thought the Genesis version was the one that popped up on the ESRB website a few years ago.

Regardless, I'm buying this tonight.

Not 100% sure. I don't have access to my Wii to check, and Nintendo hasn't update their Virtual Console site yet (and the press released doesn't have the usual "Original Platform" entry for the game). I can always change it afterwards.

I was never able to beat this game as a kid, I always had to use a Game Genie to get invincibility and unlimited weapons.

Does anyone know if there any discernible difference between the two versions?  I seem to recall the Genesis version had extra levels but maybe I'm thinking of another game.

The SNES version has a extra weapon, a flamethrower. According to Aussie-Nintendo, the SNES version also had slightly better music.

According to Wikipedia, the SNES version had some censorship done to it. No real specifics are given.
