For some reason there isn't a topic about this. Even though it was announced last October.I am somewhat interested in it. I haven't played this series. So I would like to know what it is about. The game comes out on May 5th. Is anybody going to get it?

Golden in one of those talkback topics last week about game releases and DLC. If I am wrong about the date I'll change it and that will give us some time to talk about this interesting game.

It looks OK from the videos I have seen. $30 isn't too bad, but I probably wouldn't spend more than $20. I never played any of the Klonoa games, so this re-make of the first one has no nostalgia for me.

Amazon has it listed as releasing May 5 (this Tuesday). If anyone wants it, please order it from my Amazon Associates site: http://astore.amazon.com/spyke-20/detail/B001PBDBNQ

I pre-ordered it today.
I've been wanting to try the original Klonoa ever since I played the first (and only?) GBA Klonoa game.
I think the remake looks quite presentable, and it's about time we start seeing more side-scrolling platform games on the Wii.

There was two GBA games, Caliban. Now then, how is it for reply value? More or less the same as Wario Land: Shake It?

I haven't received my copy in the mail yet, but from what I remember of the PS One original, the replay value wasn't too high. You could go back to all of the levels and collect 100% of the gems, which unlocked at least one wicked secret level. But, aside from starting a new game file a year or two later (which was pretty enjoyable), that was it.

However, it looks like this version of the game has some added modes and such that'll extend replay a good bit further. I think $30 seems reasonable, and most of the game will be a retread for me. I suppose it might make for a good, longer rental, though. But if you like good platformers and can spare the full entry fee, I say go for it.

I played the first game then. Thanks True Blue.
I haven't played past the first area, but so far from what I've seen, and NovaQ is correct about it, is that you can go back to have the levels at 100%.

The logistics of playing the game are going to be a pain, just in the last couple days I got Tenchu IV (got it for $15!), DK Jungle Beat NPC (Never played the original version), and MySims Kingdoms.

Sounds like a great rental from what I've read, the only negative is it's short and a bit to easy.  Hopefully they port Klonoa 2 too.

I'd rather they made a whole new one next if this one is successful but I'll be fine with a remake of number two since I never played that one either.

A brand new game could better take advantage of the Wii's specialties without feeling gimmicky.

I'd much rather have a new Klonoa than Klonoa 2 as well. K2 was easier than the first, and I have a feeling the PS2 graphics wouldn't receive much of an upgrade. Just as long as a new Klonoa expanded on its gameplay and added some difficulty (and avoided any rad-U.S.-teen design changes), I'd be all for it.

I was finally able to pick Klonoa up today. It's been a title I've been interested in since it was announced in October. I'm a sucker for platformers, and I was never interested in Klonoa for Playstation for some weird reason. I've played through the first two bosses, and the game does not disappoint. The visuals look colorful and vibrant, and the music in the game is fantastic. I'm so glad Namco put the game out here, and I'm really hoping they put out at least another one on the wii. I'm going to have to track down the GBA games, too.

You can easily get the 2nd GBA game online for around 10 dollars new. The first one I'm having trouble finding a copy.
