So I decided that my character was good enough to quit doing nothing but challenges and hop into the tournaments. I jumped into the London Invitational (day 1) & i killed everyone. They must think I put in a cheat code or something.

I got my 1st double eagle, just barely missed a hole in 1 twice, I got 6 trophy balls, set 4 new records, finished 13 under par and was 7 strokes ahead of the closest competitor.

Both times I missed the hole in 1 was because it bounced off the pin & I was jumping around my livingroom with excitement & disappointment. Tiger Woods on PS2 was never this fun (being drunk made it fun, but not this fun), but damn if I don't think I got Golf Elbow (is that a real affliction?). I'm lovin TW10 but I can't play more than a few challenges or a front/back 9 before something starts to hurt. Am I doing it wrong?

LOL. Me too. I find myself telling my on screen self to "Do that dance!!" as I do my own version of it too. We celebrate in synchronism.

For everyone that owns this game, what is your longest putt?

I think I got something ridiculous, maybe a 40-60 footer.
I hated the putting at first, but once I got the hang of it, I fell in love with it.

well  my current best is 59ft, but I still believe my 63footer should have fell instead of practically hovering above the hole.
I stomped on my carpet hoping that the vibration would make it fall, thats how close it was to falling in.

I've had that feeling before. The putting is freaking aces in that respect. That's also why I like the mechanic of applying spin to the ball. I usually be shaking it anyway being like "C'mon! C'mon!"

Have you experienced any input errors? especially while putting?

On more than one occasion, mostly during the same play session, I would have a putt that was inches from the hole and I would go to barely tap it in like I have done so many times before, for it to somehow register 90% and knock the ball off the green and most likely into the nearest sand trap.
Moments like that are enough to make me quit and restart whatever I'm doing unless I have a tremendous lead.

Or when you set up your chip shot from the around the green very carefully, then you go for a practice swing or two, and then you goto tweak your grid positioning only to find that it has been reset and you have to start all over again. It a really minor issue, but kinda annoying at the same time.

Am I the only one to experience this?

54 foot.  On the first or second day.  Just need one more foot for that darn trophy ball.

Before I made my Character I actually made a 63 footer with tiger.
I almost made a 62 footer today, but I just cruised by the hole about 3 inches from a direct line in shot.
But I wasn't really feelin it today because my house was too damn hot, even with the AC & fan on.

I just made a 61-footer in Challenge mode.  But I did not get my trophy. 

Is it because I was in challenge mode?  Or maybe the putt was actually on the fringe, and didn't count as a putt? 

It showed up in course records as a 61-foot putt.

I forgot to add sufficient proof to my Tiger skillz last time (not that anyone cares), so I gponna fix that now.


& I just had a really good round for some April Tournament (16 under par / 1 eagle / 3 par / 0 bogeys)

Short Game:
I've been killing the putting game since the beginning.

Long Game:
Landing on the fairway from the tee was never a problem either.

Mid Game:
My main problem has always been going from the fairway to the green.

I've been working on that, and I can go into any tournament with confidence now, since I have seen vast improvement.
My biggest issue has been swinging inbetween the 50%-80% range with accuracy. & going for the green while avoiding trees, sand traps, deep grass & water hazards. I got the hang of my slice and fade, so wind blowing side to side doesn't really affect me that much.

I got alot of stuff to work on, but I'm ready to do some online tournaments.
The Hole in One still eludes me though. I've been so close soooo many times. inches to the hole, off the pin, hanging on the edge hoping for a breeze to knock it in.
But no luck so far.

Yeah I thought I had a hole in one last weekend... par 3, tee shot, goes to the heart beat thing, shows a weird % in the power, like 81, which I read about on gfaqs I think that was supposed to signal it was going in... and then it just rolled by, ended up 2 feet away. 

I would agree iron approach shots are the toughest ones.  Which also makes most par 3s a pain in the butt. 

Anyway I'm winning without much trouble in standard mode, and halfway through the 1st year now.  Could do Q-school but I figure I'll keep playing the tournaments all the way through.  Then as my stats are nearly maxed I guess it will be time to switch to advanced...

So.......In light of whats in the news dudes, is anyway still playing this game?  Has anyone brought it back out?  Has anyone burnt it in a wrath of fury as some of us did two decades ago with our Mili Vinili albums?

It's downright pathetic really:  he was rich, successful, super popular, married to an extremely beautiful and appealing woman -- and yet decided to play around with skanky cocktail waitresses in vegas?!  Christ man, if you're going to risk it all, at least show a modicum of taste in the process!  AFAICT, he was basically just humping anything that moved...

I'm sure he's acting out on all that pent up sexual energy and the want to be promiscuous from when he was younger. I don't know how he got along with the ladies in his teens, but I'm sure he wasn't exactly the ladies man and was often way too busy with his golf practice to ever really learn to spit game at a female and was probably even ridiculed by them for his obsession with the sport.

I mean he is Tiger Tiger Woods Ya'll, and he get vag thrown at him all day every day no matter where he was going or coming from. Men are weak and can only say no so many times before you just stop fighting it, and it only takes slipping up once to slide all the way down that slope.

I haven't seen the women in question(I hear there was like 8 of them) and I'm not saying that Tiger didn't **** up, but I ain't mad at him. I'm sure you know that a large portion of men are able to separate love and sex, and just cause he satisfied certain urges outside of his marriage, doesn't mean he doesn't love his wife. That may be an unpopular opinion to take, but it's not like women don't do it too. Once again I agree it was wrong and he messed up big time, but at the same time, I don't see this affecting his career all that much.

I don't approve of any married person (famous or non-famous) cheating on their spouse, but I hope D_Average was just joking. Woods didn't do anything illegal and his infidelities have nothing to do with the game. Why what Woods does in his personal life would have anything to do with how you enjoy the game is beyond me.

I agree that is scandal shouldn't affect his career, and it won't in the long run (look at Kobe), but obiously it'll be awhile before the media backlash settles. That's the sad truth, and I loathe it.
