That means you probably now Pap64 too.
are there more people here you know besides those two?

Not that I'm aware of.

My guess is that Smash prefers LKS because he doesn't have to worry about you showing him up with your athletic videogaming prowess

*grin* Well I'm sure that's not what he'd say.

I know that Smash knows, but I was going to keep it quiet til Pap figured out who I was. You guys were so curious though, I couldn't help giving in.

Speaking of Athletic Videogaming Prowess...

Who here has high scores they want to brag about?
What is everyones most played games (single & multi)?
&
Besides the obvious need to calibrate issue, what would you change about this game if you could?

edit: I got 25 in 3point shoot out so far. Soo close to having 26-27, but my guy keeps throwing a ball away (like a pass) whenever I'm on a good starting streak.

"Who here has high scores they want to brag about?"

I went undefeated in Table Tennis against my friend this past Saturday.

Archery and "Beating people on the head with your brightly colored plastic penis" were also fan favs.

Just finished reading the Iwata Asks interview for Resort.  Awesome stuff.

And true story, brought Resort to a friend's place over the weekend, had a blast.  But at the opening sky diving sequence, the featured Mii was none other than... Ron Jeremy.

Ron Jeremy would take to the skies and in the first group, join hands with MY Mii and Michael Jackson.  Indeed.

Iwata:     (laughs)

The first time i played the game for me the mii that was sky diving was a female mii with a penis in her mouth. I laughed.

Apparently if you hold 2 button before table tennis match you get to play a faster mode that doubles the score to win. I haven't tried it myself yet.

Thanks for pointing this out, it makes it that much better. And thanks Nintendo for implementing my idea

They could lock out the hardcore elements (changing the number of innings, online mode) with like a long button combo secret code, that way casuals will never know it exists and will not get confused by options, and the hardcore will have a deeper experience.

For the next Wii Sports, Camp Cancun, please make a 'move back to the center' button for table tennis; I'm sick and tired of my mii wandering to one side of the table

Why not just a nunchuck control option?

Yeah I know. I wasn't going to get it because to be blunt I am not doing that well financially, but I remembered I had a Costco Cash card for $35 and the game was $47 total (including tax). So I bought it!

Am I the only one who's addicted to Frisbee Golf?  Sure, every now and then I make a completely horrible throw and my aggressive style lands me out of bounds way too often, but it's always a super relaxing experience.  Mind you, my right arm has been a little sore after playing multiple 18 hole rounds.

Quote from: Nintendo
REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Nintendo has provided staycations to thousands of people nationwide since the July 26 launch of its Wii Sports Resort™ game. More than 500,000 units of the game for the Wii™ console sold in the United States through Aug. 3, according to Nintendo’s internal tracking numbers. The collection of 12 fun resort-themed sports lets players of all ages escape to a tropical island for some year-round summer fun. The game comes with one Wii MotionPlus™ accessory, which brings unmatched accuracy to games that have been specially designed for it.

“Through Monday we sold one copy of Wii Sports Resort roughly every 1.5 seconds continuously since it launched in the United States,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “This tells us consumers were eagerly waiting to get their hands on these fun activities, and it’s a great start for a game that will have long-lasting appeal.”

Wii Sports Resort includes archery, Swordplay, table tennis, basketball, golf, bowling, Air Sports, Power Cruising, Frisbee®, cycling, canoeing and wakeboarding. The game is easy enough for novices to pick up but contains a tremendous amount of variety and depth to keep veteran players and their friends and family members entertained for hours on end.

Remember that Wii features parental controls that let adults manage the content their children can access. For more information about this and other Wii features, visit Wii.com.

Wii Sports Resort is available at a suggested retail price of $49.99. Additional Wii MotionPlus accessories are available at a suggested retail price of $19.99 each. For more information about Wii Sports Resort, visit www.WiiSportsResort.com.

Is it me or does the showdown mode get extremely hard at the end of the reverse more? To the point where I can get to the last guy with three hearts, and then still lose.

Also in basketball: Me, Emperor Palpatine, and a Goomba vs. Conan O'brien, Jesus, and Ozzy Osbourne. 0_o Awesomeness.

Totally..I want to get the 18-hole-with-no-hazard frisbee golf stamp but it's going to be tough. I thought I would never get into this and regular golf, they've got such a steep learning curve; but I trudged through it and now I love doing a golf swing.

Then I found out about the hardcore golf mode (hold down one of the number buttons to hide the power meter, club name, and aiming map) and now replay is extended yet again.

This game sucks you in on the "simpler" games, entices you with stamp challenges, seduces you with unlockables and secret code alterations, waves around the more challenging games as a later treat and pretty soon you have an 8.0 experience.

Played a few games today. Wii motion plus is fantastic and so far the only clunker I've run into was the water skiing one, then again I've only played 4 or 5 of the games. What impresses me the most is Wuhu Island, this game makes me want a Mario game or something based on the island so I can explore it. It is so expertly designed I do hope Miyamoto meant what he said when it comes to reusing it again in other games.

I'm disappointed that the champion "AI" is simply programmed to mechanically "calculate the best possible move and don't falter," with the only flaw to exploit would be what little reaction time was allowed in design.

This is Nintendo's rubber-band competition bullshit all over again.  Time for you to collect dust.
