We can be grumpy old men together

I remember opening my Brick with it's pack in Tetris on my bed when I was little. I got Mario Land and Mario Land 2 for Christmas one year I remember. I also had both Yoshi and Yoshi Cookie as well. F-1 Race, Donkey King Land, Pokemon Blue and Star Wars. I remember being frustrated because you needed two games to play multiplayer. Back in the day you didn't have no fancy single-card play, and you had to walk up hill both ways in the rain and snow to play with a friend! No snazzy Wi-Fi connection then either.
A few years later my parents also got a Brick for my little sister because we took a lot of long car trips to visit grandparents. But my parents would never buy her the same games as me because they thought we could just trade them. So the only crossover title we had was Tetris and Pokemon (different versions of course). I remember she had a Barbi game called GameGirl (LOL) and one of the Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle games. I remember once in highschool I found an actual GameBoy game chip in the tennis court. I predicted it was a pokemon game that was hated on. I pulled apart her Crazy Castle game (with her permission of course, she had given me most of her games at that point anyway) and I replaced it with the mangled ROM chip. I had to wedge the battery back in the case as well but when I booted it up it was a copy of Pokemon Silver. Still works too. Not a bad find to complement by copy of Gold.
We talking about the Pocket and Color too or just The Brick?
I still have both of our Bricks but neither of them work.
I didn't get to fully play Link's Awakening (my favorite Zelda game) until the DX edition.
