Imagine all the finer details Nintendo could add to Krystal using Wii's power.

How her eyes look at the game camera.

The animation joints in her tail.

The markings on her thighs.

The length of her princess cloth.

How you can use Wii Speak to call out to her and fetch the Wii Remote for you.

This game has lost all of the charm of the original, which honestly was the only thing that game had going for it.

I'm going to go listen to FFCC's soundtrack and dream of a better world.

While I haven't given up on this title completely, I do long for a true sequel to the original game on Gamecube. I have the soundtrack as well. I just wish I could get my hands on the US version of the opening song to round out my collection.

I loved the Celtic music and the art style from the original. I don't really care for the DS games because I don't like controlling your character with the D pad and I also got a bad taste in my mouth from Rings because of the horrendous C rated Saturday morning cartoon voice acting and dialogue. Why did they make the Lilty character -a warrior race- talk in toddler speech?

I almost want them to dump everything and reboot the series based off of the first game. I'll give this game a chance, it probably still has a way to go so we may see more characters involved in battles.

I kinda liked that one.

These random little clips could really use some in-game music.

I am wondering if they will be connecting the stories of the different games. If they do this one looks to be farther in the future as technology seems to be more advanced. If all the FFCC games are together then it would probably go: FFCC, Rings, Echoes and then Crystal Bearers. Though I haven't played Echoes so I don't know if it occurs before Rings or not.

Hah, this marketing is so silly for this game but it's definitely working...

GoNintendo has some new scans from the game
http://gonintendo.com/?p=79207

also has commentary from the game makers with more info
http://gonintendo.com/?p=79217

That Crystal Bearers official site has been seeing a steady flow of updates, but for the real goods, we must turn to Famitsu. Japan’s “gaming bible” offers the first real look at the game in its latest issue along with commentary from producer and scenario writer Akitoshi Kawazu and director and character designer Toshiyuki Itahana.

- futuristic Crystal Chronicles world
- swords have been traded in for guns
- the Yukes have died off due to a war with the Lilties
- main character’s name is Layle
- Layle: Crystal Bearer of the Clavat race, can manipulate gravity, his story starts when he meets a Yuke named Amidatelion that caused Layle some trouble. Layle sets out to find Amidatelion.
- part of Layle’s cheek has been crystallized - this is a feature of all Crystal Bearers (to have some part of their body crystallized)
- Althea: blond character shown sitting on the bench in the traile, she is the queen of the Lilties Kingdom, dead mother and sick father
- Jegran: head of the Lilties army, senses bad things from Amidatelion and Layle
- playing as Layle, use the Wiimote to point at objects and target them
- grab enemies and use them for various purposes
- uses for enemy grabbing: throw enemies at one another, flip enemies over, and swinging yourself around enemies to avoid attacks
- grab onto heavy/anchored objects to use Layle’s power as a grappling hook
- game development hadn’t actually begun when the first trailer came out, explaining the long time this game has taken
- no level-up system
- equip accessories to raise/change/add abilities
- as your progress, you’ll encounter enemies that feature vast sets of abilities
- even characters you see in town will present unique situations
- a free-world experience, no separation between battles and exploration

The Lilties have apparently grown taller, now sporting a loli-queen.

Where are the Selkies.

Does not compute.

Now that's the real million dollar question.
