this **** is frustrating.
Boooooo @ Nintendo for once again being behind the technological curve and cheaping out on servers to handle web traffic.

To be fair, why would they put money into something that they're about to kill off?

The servers could be used for other stuff too... like online gaming or whatever else Nintendo vaguely participates in online. Just the fact that this happens often, and was sure enough to happen last night, they could have already addressed the problem so that it wouldn't be one a long time ago.

But as usual, Nintendo is only doing what they feel is conservatively on the low end of good enough for right now, at this very moment. No future proofing.

But whatever. It's Nintendo. I expect nothing more.... almost always discontentedly satisfied in the end. (if that even makes sense)

Seriously, what else? Another year of Game & Wario and Wii Party U? W101 was already in the initial reward list, and none of the top selling games are going to be made available. Neither were the games released during this Club Nintendo year. Realistically it was going to be DKC and all the Nintendo published eShop games.

I thought there was a realistic possibility that Hyrule Warriors could've been an option. Less than stellar game from a shitty developer who makes terrible games, published by Nintendo and featuring Nintendo characters? That's right up Club Nintendo's alley. Plus, it features DLC and Amiibo support Nintendo could make money from. Would've been a nice offering, since I refuse to pay money for that game but the Zelda ties leave me interested.

Hyrule Warriors is surprisingly not terrible. Granted, I only play it when my brother stops by from college, but I have fun with it. If you can get it for $20, I say go for it. Free would have been better.

I thought Wii Sports Club was a shoo-in. Silly me. I'll probably end up downloading Yoshi's New Island.

Isn't Wii Sports Club already redeemable? There's a whole list of games that aren't platinum and gold member rewards that can be redeemed for coins and Wii Sports Club is one of those titles along with Game and Wario and others. Is the website wrong or is just that people don't have their coins to redeem the games with anymore?

Crap. I forgot about this and still had some codes to punch in. At least I hit gold. Maybe if I call Nintendo they will give me some...

Some of these I was hoping to get down the road anyways so I'll take something. Not sure what though.

I didn't have the 700+ coins needed to buy a game, having spent coins pretty regularly on normal Club Nintendo prizes, so was hoping that Platinum rewards would include the same games already offered.

Things still worked out fine for me, as Tropical Freeze is a game I've looked at many times but never been excited about enough to actually purchase.

That's what it is. Wii Fit U. I was looking that closely at it and I guess all those Wii Titles now just blend together in my mind. Plus, I actually forgot that a Wii Fit game was released for the Wii U. I only remember the Wii Sports Club game.

Well, then someone over there should change the time on their clock so it's always Stupid AM so someone can actually access the damn site.

The secret is to just avoid the times when you know everyone else is going to go to the site.  I got all of my rewards in and surveys done a week before the end because I figured it'd be a mess in the days leading up to the end and I haven't bothered going to the site since then, the gold reward I'm getting can wait, it'll still be there next week when the site is actually working again.

They are.  They're fixing it so that no one has trouble logging into the site ever again.

Well, If getting rid of the ClubN site is their solution to the server issues related to accessing the ClubN site, then that is certainly one way to solve the issue.... cheapest possible way too. And in hindsight... we should have known that would be the Nintendo Way.

I dunno, a lot people have this problem with servers.  Generally, they're good enough for "everyday use" but not in times of high capacity.  A lot of games have this problem too, right?

Still, it's a foreseeable problem.  Nintendo could've managed it.

I'm not sure what I want anyway so I can wait. I have most of the "big ticket" items, except for Yoshi's New Island and Mario Party Island Tour, but with the lukewarm reception those games got I predict they will be cheapies down the line. It'd probably be more worthwhile for me to choose an eShop-only title, which pretty much just leaves Pushmo World.

Let's face it. Even if they did release the CD for NA, no one would ever get it because the Club Nintendo site would be down for the moment of release to the end of the service in June from people trying to get online and order it. NoA was thinking of you all when they gave out the rewards they did.

That's pretty sweet, hope someone rips it & uploads it to the internets.

One thing I've never understood is if Nintendo goes through the trouble of making these CDs....why not just release them on itunes after a certain amount of time has passed?  I'd pay cash for this.
