I started out being all nice, simple and polite (read: boring) when doing the surveys but now I've decided to be more colorful, bold and bitchy with my thoughts (of course I'm keeping them civil).

Any time I'm filling out a VC survey, when they ask how the service could be better, I always demand Yoshi's Island.

I try to keep them relevant but I like to now insert jabs at the lack of localization efforts with games like Fatal Frame and Soma Bringer.

I just demand more Virtual Console releases. I figure they'll get around to Yoshi's Island eventually...

I'm convinced that nobody reads the surveys, so if nothing critical comes to my mind right away, I'll just enter whatever random thing enters my head just so it isn't left blank.

I'll bet that there is one poor bloke who has to slog through them. Perhaps there is a rotation where someone else has to pull 'Club Nintendo Comment Compilation' duty each week. If so some of our more oddball comments may be the only bright spot in a mind-numbingly dreary dearth of 'ZOMG I HEARTZZES DA POKERMANS AN DA IMAGINEZ HORZES' trash that all the kids probably write in.

Has anyone received their Platinum Members bonus yet?  I got an email about a week or two ago from Nintendo saying they were mailing them all out.

As for the surveys, I figure some poor soul is reading them or else Nintendo wouldn't be putting the surveys out since it only costs them money one way or another (since we can use the coins to purchase product they manufacture).  That isn't to say that anything we write in them actually matters since we're, you know, NOT Japanese so we don't matter to Nintendo corporate and NoA has no authority to do anything.

I got word last week saying they were preparing to mail the Platinum Prizes out, but I haven't gotten an order number yet or anything.

The prizes were either some figurines or a calendar.

I hadn't looked in so long almost forgot how cool the figures looked.

They have started shipping.  Someone on CAG has gotten it and posted some pics.  It's super-small... comes in a huge box...

Compared to the box, the figures appear tiny. I'm guessing it comes in serious protective packaging. Compared to a DS game box it doesn't appear that small. Overall it looks cool though.

LOL @ size compared to box. I would imagine a lot of kids being disappointed when they think it will be much bigger.

Aw, and I just placed an order for the Messenger bag last night - thought that's what shipped. Ah well.

The messenger bag is tempting. But I just know once I order it all of the really cool stuff will go live.

I got confirmation of two orders being sent to me. I assume they are the pin and the platinum prize. It would be cool if they came at the same time.
A few things are sold out: the messenger bag and the Mario, Blooper and Fireworks fans are all gone.

I got my figure. It's bigger than I thought it was. I thought it was going to be the size of one of those capsule (gachapon) toys.

BTW, both the tote and messenger bags are sold out already.

My bag shipped today, pics will be provided once it arrives - I'm four timezones from the shipping point in Canada, and it takes the slow boat, so that'll probably be the end of next week.

I got my figure, too. It's a pretty good size. I'll do a blog post about it soon. HUGE box, though.
This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.

Is it lame to admit that the question mark box is half the appeal of the platinum prize?  I mean, the little statue is actually pretty cool and looks nicer than I expected... but the question mark box is awesome too.  Seriously: if Club Nintendo sold a set of collapsible question mark and brick boxes like that I'd probably spend coins for them.

I got the email that said the elite prizes were being prepared to ship, but I still haven't gotten the one that says it has been shipped. I guess I'm on the bottom of the list.

I also didn't get the general DS survey that was supposed to come with the Wii and Holiday surveys.

I got my calendar on Saturday (I forgot to register some stuff before the deadline and thus end up slightly below the Platinum level. I haven't opened it up yet, it's basically one of those little desk calendars that is like the size of a disc.
