You should; I know the DSi was worth 160 coins.

However, I don't know what will happen if you've already registered one of your previous systems.  Even if you registered it before Club Nintendo was brought to America they might hold it against you.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

The DSi doesn't really register until you connect it to your Club Nintendo account. I know this because that reminder is still in my "to-do" list for my brother's DSi. I think it's BS, honestly.

Did ya'll see the new reward? Black Wii Remote holder. Unless it's substantially different from the white one, it's not worth it.
This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.

I've registered Wiix2 (both White) and DSx3 (1 Phat and 2 Lite).

Now i have one more Wii to register and everyone that has a DS will have their own Wii too.

edit: I was wrong. I only have 1 registered Wii.

Do I need to switch to a Family account to register the others?
Does that affect my status and coins?

You can register the Wii, but you won't get coins. According to the Club Nintendo FAQ, you don't get any coins for registering Wii or DS Lite systems. All registering your Wii system will do is extend the warranty by 90 days, so feel free to register it now. The code that comes with the Wii bundle is to get coins for the games.

You *can* get coins for registering your Wii.  Kinda.

Wii
Wii consoles released after May 9, 2010, that include both Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, are packaged with an insert that includes PIN that can be used to register the bundled software. Wii owners can also register the serial number for their newly purchased system and receive a free 90-day warranty extension! A short survey may be required.

I mentioned that in my post, you are getting the coins for the games (not the system).

You get 160 coins for registering the newer Wii Bundles.

Before, you got Zero Coins for registering a Wii, Zero Coins for registering Wii Sports (which, actually, could not be registered) and 50 Coins (60 with Post Play) for registering Wii Sports Resort.  To say you're getting 160 coins for registering the games would be weird.

i'm still skeptical uncle bob. 10 coins isn't to bad, but I don't want to registrar mario galaxy and throw away 50 because those will go to 2010 not 2011 like I want. Having 60 coins now that evaporate in a month is worthless when I can have 50 coins later that will be for 2011. I'm not talking about using coins to buy stuff, i'm talking about being platinum member for 2011.

'meh.  Doesn't hurt me, whatever you decide.

Personally, I'm going to stay up late on the 30th, fill out a bunch of surveys and wait to hit "send" on all of them until the coins reset.  I'll be first to hit Platinum for 2011! ;)

I'd have well over 1200 coins if didn't blow my wad on the worthless Wii Remote Holder (which, admittedly, I use) and the DS game + stylus case. I'll probably get Grill-Off because it's cheap.

I'm hoping that the Platinum rewards are better this year than last year. Granted, I love my Mario hat, but it's not like I was wringing my hands, hoping they'd come out with Mario hats last year.

Eh, that's something which can be found on the Internet for free. Something like a golden wheel is a collector's item.

Not official CDs that don't degrade in my car's CD player after a few dozen plays (my car's CD player really doesn't like burned CDs).  Considering none of the stuff so far have really been worthy of being called "Collector's items", I don't expect that to start now.

Anyone know when Club nintendo updates your status? I have gotten 630coins and still has me at gold status, when I should be Platinum, do they update the following day or is it sometime after you register and do the survey thing?

you need 630 coins for this year, not just 630 total coins in your account.

So if you already had left over from last year and you only added enough from this year to equal 630, then you still need more coins.

Click on the logo representing your membership status (Gold, Platinum, etc.).  A little meter will appear listing how many points you've earned this year, and how much you have to go till you hit the next threshold.

620, 630, either way you know what the point of my post was.
I just used the numbers he provided.

I didn't memorize how many are needed for Platinum status.
