On some levels you might think, Hey I need to get up there I'll just use a helicopter. But then you realize that a helicopter is just too big. So you have to be a little more creative than that.

There was a level with a flower lady (puzzle 1-11). I must have died about 15 times before I figured it out and I tried all kinds of things. So trust me that it is not as simple as "win button" YAY I win.

..... maybe I should try that, just to see what happens.

Win button makes a Starite, but it doesn't actually count.

The game has so far underwhelmed me.  I'm not through with it yet, so my opinion can change.  So far, I'd have more fun just standing there and summoning things to see how they interact, rather than playing toward goals.

Yeah but most games underwhelm you.

Nah, not really.  Don't make me go through a whole list of games that I've enjoyed.  This game is better than Drawn to Life, but there's little to it that's fun aside from watching how what you draw interacts with what is around you...

...Only so far, I've been asked to make people happy by drawing something they'd like, and there's be very little interaction.

I... did the teleporter thing for the bonus stage, summoned a flamethrower, started using it...

Then the game froze.

Are you sure?

I'm a bit upset at how lackluster it seems.

Keep in mind this is coming from someone who dislikes most of the Zelda games, and has some strange tastes. ;)

Keep in mind this genre is completely different than Zelda in every way.

It's a very simple in nature puzzler. You can solve puzzles in countless #'s of ways and they even challenge you to figure out different ways to solve the same puzzle.

The action puzzles have proven so far to be more difficult, but i haven't given it the same amount of attention that I did to the regular puzzles.

I just want to know why the volume is so low on this game and why it won't play the song I choose.

I'm trying to figure out how to get the caveman to eat a dinosaur omlette.

I have the answer. Duh is all I can say. Seems to be a common answer to these early puzzles.

It gets harder. But on some I feel like I cheated.
I just started the 4th level (4-1 - 4-11) though and I've skipped atleast one puzzle so far.

This is great.

I haven't had the chance to play it yet, but something leads me to believe that you'd get the same end result without the steak.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

But to complete a level with a gold star, you have to beat a level 3 times without typing in the exact same thing again.

M only real complaints with this game is some wonky physics & that Maxwell is retarded and need to learn to stay put until I tell him to move.

I'm on level 4-11 and you need to make a bridge of some sort or a way to get the king across a large gap. So I try to do something overly complex like put a bridge ladder across the gap and use two ramps on the sides with a boulder in the middle so he can get across. I did this because he knocks the bridge off if it's by itself. But everytime i put a ramp on the right side, the bridge shoots off to the left like it was fired out of a cannon. while I continue to try and fix it, maxwell keeps taking an unintentional stroll into the lava below off screen and killing himself.

It would be nice if there was a way to lock him in place so he doesn't move by accident when he isn't even on the screen.

Yup, if I had to say, it feels like the game didn't go through testing.  Am I the only one who finds it really didn't seem finished?

It could've been item tested a little more, but I essentially got it for $15 so I ain't mad.
Some puzzles just seem extra difficult because the items you pick don't react or work the way you want them to.

No I agree. I've frozen it 3 times. And had it black screen on me once.

I can even dupe one of the freezes:
Get  a Fire
Get a Pup fish
Put the Pup fish over the fire
FREEEEEDDDDDOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM!!!!

I got a level I just can't figure out. I think I've done what they want, but nothing happens.

The level is 6-2 and the logic puzzle is "Hatch it before mommy returns".
There is a dinosaur egg and a T-Rex. I have no idea what to do.

I've gotten the dino out of the egg after separating it from the T-Rex and then nothing happens. I've killed the baby dino and nothing happens. I've broken the egg afterwards  and nothing happens. If the T-Rex dies, "try again", destroy the egg "try again". WTF do I do?

For hatching the egg:

My wife just beat that one and was cursing up a storm until she figured it out.  If I could figure out spoiler tags here I'd give you a hint.

I LOVE this game.  Just playing around making fun things in sandbox mode mostly.. Have yout tried "Ceiling cat" yet?  This game is made of win..

how to do Spoiler Tags

[_spoiler] blah blah blah, you can't see this [/spoiler]

just remove the _ in the 1st set of [] and the spoiler tag will show

can i haz my hint now?

or next time you see someone do something in the forums, and you want to know how they did it, you can always quote them to see what they typed.

I think this is the answer Bnm. The dino that jumps out first isn't from the egg.  I think it is one of those dino's that hide in the nest with the eggs.  I think you still have to get the egg.

I am on the Back to the Future puzzle.  I forget the number but I can't figure out what to do.  I've driven really fast into the lightning bolt but it hasn't worked.

Flying: Flying animals are the only way to go.  They have no time limit for how long they stay in the air and are small enough to fit in most levels

I have to say, this game is great. Yeah it has some wonky controls but it is so fresh and new, not to mention it makes you think in ways that no game before it could ever dream. Is it a flawed game? Yeah it is rough around the edges but it more then makes up for it with its charm and creativity.
