Gylldas' death scene to read while I'm working on Day 3...:
Sally, Charlie Brown’s little sister, had come over to see what Linus was up to. It was no secret that she kinda had a thing for him. Standing behind a doorway, however, Sally was shocked as she saw a crazy-looking Linus throw Charlotte Braun into her own suitcase and storm out the door.
While she was a little shocked at what he’d done, she couldn’t help but simultaneously admire his determination and gritty spirit. Yes, Sally’s crush was stronger than ever before! She waited until he came back, settled in at the table, and began writing again.
“What are ya doin’, Linus?” Sally asked, innocently.
“I’d rather not say. You might laugh.”
“Oh, I’d NEVER laugh at you, Linus. You’re so intelligent.”
Linus blushed, then fessed up. “I WAS writing a letter to the Great Pumpkin, but now I’m composing a black magic spell, a summoning rite, to call the Great Pumpkin to us. It is a dark magic, this one.”
“You say the cutest things!” Sally said as little hearts floated above her head.
Linus continued, “On Halloween night, we’ll summon the Great Pumpkin, who will rain terror and destruction down upon all the unbelievers around us! Wouldn’t you like to sit with me in the pumpkin patch on Halloween night, and wait for the Great Pumpkin?”
“Oh, I’d love to, Linus!” Sally cozied up next to Linus, happy... and evil.
It was just then that Linus noticed a pair of eyes at the window. It was a dog! “But first, there’s something I need to attend to...” Linus said, grabbing the phone.
Sally looked completely oblivious, and sighed a big crushy sigh.
Linus dialed a number, and spoke into the receiver. “Yes, animal control? There seems to be a stray dog outside. It looks like a dog I recognize... a pest about town known as Rover, AKA Gylldas. He’s just a townie dog, but please come and pick him up at once anyways, won’t you? Thank you so much.”
Within a few minutes, Linus heard a truck outside. The next thing he heard, there was a whooshing sound of a net coming swiftly down, a small yelp, and then silence.
