"This is kind of nice, actually, I like the play of the Chaos Control person on Day 1. We don't know anything about anything at the beginning, but Dasmos and Thatguy are wrong in thinking that we didn't learn anything just because no one died. We learned quite a bit, actually.

Now, if we can just use what little we learned on Day 1, maybe we can make informed decisions with our votes."

We learned what, that Vudu is recruiting an army for an even better chance to take down Spak?  It's not that we didn't learn anything because no one died, it's that the Dr. didn't get to protect anyone, the investigator didn't get to check out anyone, and so on and so forth.  Woo hoo, the mafia didn't get to make a hit on a random person.  Who cares? Had they made a hit, what good would that have done?  I'm upset because we got no info from other sources.

Now, what did we learn on Day 1?  Vudu's half invincible?  Well, what happens when he dies tonight?  Think Vudu is the type of player to just trust a list of roled players to someone else?  He's not.  He's the type that hides too much of every little thing, and won't talk to other people unless he has to.  Unless there's some way for him to confirm another townie role before the day is over, he probably won't share his list, not in it's entirety, to anyone with a role, in fear one is mafia or the killer, or something.

It would be a different case if the numbers matched up perfectly, but there's always that little scumbucket out there that says, "No! If I do this, the odds that I get killed go up 1%!  I will not try to let the townies win."  So, really, all this will be negated unless everyone actually does do what he says.

thatguy you are wrong.  You always go for the big play.  We had a huge chance of losing

1)An important townie with a mafia hit, that was avoided.
2)We prevented the Mafia from investigating and possibly finding an important townie
3)We prevented the Killer from killing a townie, and possibly stealing an important role.

4)We found a 100% townie that everyone can trust.
5)Nobody died.

This may be the BEST start for townies there has been.  We just have to figure out what to do.  I have never been a good planner in fact I will tell you all I am a follower in this game...but part of what happened today was from design and luck.  Luck of who Vudu turned out to be.  Design that no other actions were used.  We now have a great chance to capitalize on it.

Vudu's proven in past games that he's a solid player, understands the game, and can read indirect, below-the-surface relationships well. He's just quiet in the PMs department. Some players (for example thatguy) go all out with the personal message, behind-the-scenes conversations. Vudu just isn't either as trusting and/or as reckless as thatguy :P That said, it's no wonder vudu's aversion to the tell-all PM game rubs some people the wrong way.

Yes, he's been killed off early a few games now, but he played before then, too.  He's a very conservative player.  He nearly almost has to know his move is going to be safe, and several times, it's been self-destructive.  Look at the last game.  He was the detective then, and he investigated me.  He only told one player I was mafia, and it turned out that player was on my side.  Because he was too careful, he ended up dying and no one found out about me, despite his investigation.  That's the type of player he is.  That's why I don't think this'll work.  He'll probably give every roled player the name of one other roled player, and tell them something like "If I die, you all can figure it out.  I have to do this in case one of you is a fake."

Vudu will screw this up like he screwed up last game, and he's done the same thing before in the past, too.

Spak, the mafia is as blind as we are, nearly.  They'd hit someone worthless on day one, as likely would the killer.  Now, they've got two days to figure things out, too.  Tonight, they hit Vudu, the key to winning the game, right?  And the killer, what, he knows not to go after Vudu, since Vudu is useless to him now, too.  It's just too convenient of a set-up.  Maybe if any other player landed Vudu's role, maybe then we'd be fortunate, but I'm not buying what everyone else is saying.  This doesn't work for us.

While that's true in most cases, this game I have a time limit.  Since I'm singling myself out, I will likely die tonight.  That means I only have today to make my plan work.

I don't need another "confirmed townie" to know who's who.  As long as everyone with a townie role PMs me I will be able to introduce the cop, doctor, extra life and town crier to each other.  Ideally, I would like for the regular townies (and mafia members pretending to be regular townies) to PM me as well, but it's not necessary.  As long as I haven't received PMs from two people claiming to be the same role I will send out my list to those "confirmed players" before the day is over.

However, in order for this plan to work, everyone with a role needs to PM me TODAY.  If any mafia members (or the killer) pretend to have a townie role this plan could seriously backfire if the person with the actual role doesn't come forth.

So far I've heard from a great many of you, but there are still some stragglers out there.  DO NOT FORGET TO PM ME YOUR ROLE ASAP.

But what happens when the Mafia player say they are a roled character and you can't prove it.  You have two investigators and 2 Doctors, and what not.

Plus remember there is a Mafia agent that can appear even when investigated as a townie role of their choice.  This can complicate things as well...and obviously they won't chose the investigator because well then the role is meaningless.

I am glad you have a plan VUDU...I really am.  I just hope you have thought it every element of the plan out.

If two people claim to have the same role, I'll leave both players out of the alliance.  I'll give both identities to the confirmed townies, and let them sort it out after I'm dead.

Unfortunately, I can't win this game.  I can't even hand it to you on a silver platter.  But if people are willing to play along, I can give the townies a significant advantage.

Vote thatguy Masterminds that live past 2 days are clearly mafia. I said this last game and it's probably true again.

Just want to point out that this reasoning is FAIL.  For all your know both the mafia and the killer tried to take our thatguy last night but were unsuccessful because of Chaos Control.

I plan on voting for whoever Vudu votes for.

Sadly, I don't really know who's mafia.  All I know is who's not.  ;)

No way.  Pale's once again taking the easy vote.  While the odds game says Vudu's got a better chance at finding someone that's mafia, the skills game says who knows.  I still want to take you out.  I was so close yesterday.  And yet you won't even talk to me.  This is painful, Pale.  Absolutely painful.  You deserve to die.  As long as you and I are alive there will be a target on your back this game.  You just go and look as inconspicuous as possible Pale, but unless you kill me, it's not going to work.

Rouge probably thinks that I would put a hit out on myself if I could, just to throw he for a loop.  She doesn't know I like to wine and dine, and enjoy long walks on the beach, and I'm pretty good at thieving too.  Watch her melt at the sight of this:  [cloak]

thatguy:  I don't know the role of Pale, but I want to believe he is a townie.  I lead the decision to change votes against Pale...even pushing to vote me out.  Then you told me to vote for Vudu because you thought he was Mafia or at least fishy.

It turns out your plan worked for the townie because Vudu was a townie with a good role that kept him alive, and my nonvote out allowed me to activate Chaos Control.  As I said it was my move to keep people alive first day.

Could Pale be Mafia?  Yes.  Do I think we should take a chance of losing a townie on a hunch?  No.

I want to know Vudu's plan...and I am waiting for the list he will provide for all us townies with roles, then hopefully I will see the big plan.  As of now, since I used my ability I am like a regular townie so I am not afraid to speak out.

So Spak says he's the chaos control guy....

Does anyone want to disagree and claim that THEY are the chaos control guy, or should I trust that Spak is a townie?
