Mafia XXVIII: Sonic The Hedgehog. Day 1. Green Hill Zone.
« on: October 06, 2008, 02:26:33 AM »
I was sure there was comic somewhere byt Infernal which had Sonic and Mario talking. Sonic introduces himself with "Sonic's the Name and Speed's my game." To which Mario promptly punches him and tells hims "Your games suck."

Regardless, after the friendly competition at the Olympics, things got a little heated and afte countless fights in Smash Bros, Sonic was finally upset enough at Mario and the Nintendo crew to set off again into his own realm. With his increase in popularity, Sonic was ready to reclaim his spot as the coolest mascot around.

As well, Sonic had recieved an urgent note. His good friend Gumbuzzo the Giraffe had been killed. Appearently, someone was really upset that they had spent so much money on Sonic The Hedgehog PS3, they had decided to take it upon themselves to destroy the Sonic universe.

And when Dulcy the Dragon was also killed, a note was left behind by a mysterious group called The Genesis crew. Appearently tired of Sega adding more and more characters to the Sonic universe, they were prepared to clear out all the excess characters until only the most important remained. And if they had to remove Sonic, so be it. What mattered is that they are the important ones.

With that, Sonic set out to cure all that ails his world and hopefully fix it all with an adventure that will take him to the top again. And so our story begins with Sonic setting forth from Green Hill Zone.

Voting begins.

Announcements.

Voting ends at 11 pm EST. Night actions are due 30 minutes after voting ends.

As mentioned in the rules, voting is mandatory. You must vote at least once every 3 days or you will be removed from the game.

The Godfather must send me the roles he wants his mafia to consist of an hour before voting ends. If he has not done so, roles will be randomly assigned to his mafia. Once I learn the roles chosen, I will inform all players and update the Player List and roles thread.

In addition, I will also outline how those powers would be used by the killer if he gains those powers.

Feel free to role-play all you want. I may even take cues from the players and add them in the story.

With regards to all actions, none will be used until tonight. For instance, the detective and the doctor can send out their investigation or protection orders but they won't get the result until day 2. Everyone is a target today. This is done to allow Chaos Control the chance to negate everything.

Any questions about the rules, feel free to ask in this thread or message me privately. You should all know what your goals are. Now work to accomplish them.

Good luck.

Typical mafia strategy:  Blame players in prior games and vote out the best on day one, then hit a random, weak player during the night.  Makes the mafia look inept, and since all players think they are the best thing since sliced bread, they all feel like this disguises them.  I'm not going to stand for it.

OOC: Guys I really want to find the killer first and foremost. His power is unbelievable. I mean you could stop himself form dying and then the second time he dies, come back to like as a new role. It's just outrageous. This is only if, you know he killed the right people to gain the powers but I've already had one person contact me, acting as the investigator. Imagine if this bold individual was killed by the killer tonight? I'm terrified!

ALSO FUCKEN LOL AT GUMBUZZO THE GIRAFFE IN TEH STORY! (Infernal invented him, not me, although I probably hotlinked his comic or something)

The End of Day time is a lot more convinient for me, thanks Khush. I won't be able to be voted out without any say this time!

After the last game, this should be self explainitory.

Carrying resentment or or VEDETTAS!! from previous games help nobody. Although on the flip-side, this being the first day means that your vote is as good as any.

I was reading over all the roles and rules...and the townies are going to have a hard time with this game.  Custom designed Mafia powers can be very difficult to overcome, as the mafia can have the best powers to protect themselves.  We don't know what Mafia powers have been assigned yet...but I will suspect we will see something like:

Mafia Muscle, Doctor, investigator.  The Doctor protects their numbers, the Investigator allows them to find people, and the Muscle is another way to find people by blocking actions and seeing if it "hits"

The Sylar Character is quite scary this game...I don't know what I think of that power except stay back.

Hell you didn't even give a reason for voting Pale. And Maxi DID THE EXACT same thing. He's a n00b, doing something like is a pretty solid red flag within itself!

Well if Maxi is mafia perhaps he is just voting with thatguy because he knows several people do and that is an excuse.  Or, it could me thatguy has already been talking to him and has given a reason (truthful or fictitious) why to vote Pale and Maxi has believed him.

But I find it hard to believe both thatguy and Maxi are mafia because surely thatguy would have informed Maxi the ill advice of voting early and copying another Mafia members vote.

Then again I am over thinking this.

So Rabicle is playing his character and posted that is why he is voting me...because I voted against "Knuckles"

Watch him...he may be telling the truth and just role-playing, but he may also be using an excuse for his vote.

Just throwing that out there people.

The great and powerful Espio unzips his Sonic suit.  The wonderful and glorious Espio has masqueraded as nearly everything to nearly everyone, and has convinced even a few. The oustanding and brilliant Espio is planning his next move, talking in third person, and is going to find an avatar.

Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!
