After you beat WW, it asks you where to save it.  and either i'm really tired, or it was worded really stupid.  i wasn't quite sure what was going on (almost fell asleep during the credits) and saved over my game.  sure, it shows i beat it, but i lost all my progress!  all those precious hearts!!  if there is anyway to get my saved game back (which i really really doubt) could someone please let me know??  i'd really appreciate it.
thanx.

Another similar thing to look out for...

I beat the game, then did a bunch of stuff like get Deluxe Picto Box. I then wanted pictures of Ganon and Zelda so I go to do that fight again. Beat Ganon, saved (not over my file). But the save is for New Game + so I lost all progress I had made after first beating the game on my original file. So... you have to save BEFORE the credits roll!

So when you beat it do you save in a new file? or do you just not save at all?

If this is the first time you've beaten the game, then save in a new file. Otherwise, do not save at all.

"So when you beat it do you save in a new file? or do you just not save at all? "

From my understanding you make a new save file to start the quest over again. Except this time you start with a Deluxe Pictograph Box and your figurines carry over to the new file.

You can't save progress from before you killed Ganon on your main file if you haven't before the credits...

I didn't know you could carry all your stuff over to the second quest, I thought you just start with the deluxe pictobox, your figurines and some new clothes. I dont think you can carry over all your stuff. Then the second quest wouldn't be much of a quest since you have everything.

I'm confused now. When you beat the game, do you keep your hearts, maps, and items? I know you keep the figurines and the picto box, but what about everything else?

No, after you beat the game it tells you what to do..save on a new quest log. You dont start with anything from the previous game except the Deluxe pictobox and the figurines. If you had all your hearts and maps it wouldn't be much of a quest.....

That's why I made a copy of the game when I knew I was getting close to the end of the game.
Stupidity is lost on my. Then again I'm almost always lost.

Okay I'm trying to get this straight now.  So you can only save a New Game+ file only once after you beat the game?  Or can you if you just save before you start to fight the two end bosses?
