You can get 100 scales, 3 pliers, and some rings for more or less $30 to start you off, and I'm talking about the cheap stuff. Heavy? They're aluminum scales, so not heavy at all. It's less than 100 grams now I think, but I would have to weight it properly on a scale that is a lot more sensitive.

A mural? I guess you can paint them, or you could just use other types of anodized scales.

I was thinking about putting an emblem on them. I had an idea to make a family crest for months. What better canvas than armor scales?

oh they're aluminum, so about $1.30 a pound. It wouldn't be too terribly hard to make a mold from the exisiting ones and then melt down some cans and make them yourself.
