Probably. Though he is a fighting/bug so any bug with a flying move will probably tear it apart.

Here is what I did to find some of the bug types I used the Platinum GTS and asked for specific pokemon. If I got a nature I didn't like well I just breeded with ditto till I got a good nature and ability.

The bug contest is torquing me off. I can't heal my pokemon and the 'sport balls' are crap.

I tend to use a Butterfree with Sleep Powder and Tackle to bring down the pokemons health.

Totally forgot about the GTS. I'll have to do that. Hopefully I'll find an overseas Herracross so I can unlock the "Across the Sea" Pokewalker route.

Oh yeah! My ghastly has hypnosis so I could try that. I've been using pokemon with leer and confusion based attacks.

Herracross isn't even an option in the "seek" on the GTS. Even if it was, I'll bet people would be asking for a Lv. 100 Arceus or something.

I just raised an Armaldo up to Lv. 40. BEWARE ITS WRATH.

Yeah I forgot that you actually had to see the pokemon for it to show up in the GTS in Platinum. I might be able to breed a few bug types. I have most of them with a few exceptions. Any 3rd gen bug I don't have. I have 2 of my team members done and working on the next 2 now.

Ok I have a question. Who has Pokemon Battle Revolution?

Also as an addition to the rules we are going to have rolling times for the tourney.

Which basically means that you will be paired with someone as your foe and the two of you work out a time for your match. The tourney will start on June 20th and will go till we have a winner.

6 on 6. I went with this because I think with only 3 on 3 there would be less variety for the teams.

No entry hazards.So no Stealth Rock,Spikes,Toxic Spikes.No Sunny Day.No use of the move Double team.

Other stat uping moves can be used.Like Swords Dance or Agility.Whirlwind or Roar can be used as that is a way to stop stat boosters. Of course Baton Pass can be used if you like. Taunt can be used but there is really only one user of it for bug types.

You can use the move tutors in Heart gold and Soul Silver if you like.

Because there are few always hit attacks and if someone doesn't have one of those moves and it is down to 1 on 1 than the double team user will win.

I was thinking no teaching moves like Flamethrower and Air Cutter to all your bug-types. I'm fine with the moves you describe, Maxi. My restriction would be this:

No TMs. The only moves that you can "teach" your Pokemon (as opposed to them learning naturally through leveling up) are Move Tutor moves and maaaaaaybe Egg Moves.

Well first of all the only fire type move that the bugs can learn is hidden power. Which getting the right type and power can take a while since it depends on the pokemons IVs.

Second I will think about the no TMs. I already started my team and it has a few TM users.
So weigh in let me know what you think.

Ok so I looked through the bug types movesets that Halbred listed and there isn't really a good way to beat a few pokemon with the movesets so I am allowing TMs.

Maybe next pokemon tourney I can switch things up.

Eh I'm sure every pokemon will have at least one move that counters the bug types. The challenge is to counter the counters.

Oh another thing no multiple pokemon of the same type. So no having 3 different Venomoths. You can have the prevolutions of a pokemon along with its later evolutions so a Scyther and Scizor will work.

And with that it is Officially 1 month till the start of the tourney.
