Ahh, much better.
Now then. Yes, I agree, a compilation would be excellent. In fact, I'd love for Nintendo to take a hint from Midway and Activision, and release an "NES Allstars" disk. It could have all the Marios, Zeldas, Metroid, Fire Emblem...um, any other notable Nintendo games from Nintendo, and then go and get the better third party/second party titles: Final Fantasy, Tecmo Super Bowl, Dragon Warrior 1-4, etc etc etc. I think you get the idea.
A followup to this would be an SNES Allstars, the likes of which would more or less make everyone soil their pants all at once. Imagine the possibilities. Mario World 1/2, Mario RPG, Super Metroid, Zelda: LTTP, Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, FF 4/6, Lufia 2, Star Ocean, Seiken Densetsu 2/3 (Secret of Mana to the us USA ppl, along with its not-stateside-released counterpart sequel)....the list goes on an on.
If they wanted to make a decent profit from these, they could divide them up and put maybe 5 games on each disk, and then sell them as sets. So you'd have an "NES RPG Set," a "Mario Set," etc etc etc.
But yea, knowing the general economics of the situation, Nintendo would rather packege their games through Animal Crossing or the GBA.
BTW, this idea isn't all that new, just to let you know....
