Though still without a name, Renegade Kid revealed to IGN that it has signed a deal with publisher Gamecock (which backed Dementium) to bring the mystery title out. "Based on one of the biggest horror icons of all time, the game's name, plot or what systems it will be available for have yet to be revealed," the companies jointly noted in a release given to IGN. (We can take a guess about what system(s) it'll be coming to, by the way.)Fans expecting a Dementium or Moon-like first-person shooter could be in for a surprise. According to the companies, "The completely new title changes things up from past Renegade Kid projects in terms of gameplay, genre and style."
They need to get a publisher who publishes in Europe too.
I guess annoucing games without anything (or barely) to show for them is the new fad on wii?
Developer Renegade Kid has confirmed that its previously announced Dracula title has been shelved. The deal was signed with Gamecock -- which no longer formally exists -- last year. The game, called Son of the Dragon was rumored to be a Wii game that would follow the adventures of Dracula's son. The intellectual property is still owned by Renegade Kid, although there are no current plans to revive the project. The developer is currently working on an unannounced game for an unannounced system, which will be released during an unannounced time-frame sometime in the future. Let's hope the opportunity for Renegade Kid to dig up this game's corpse presents itself. In all honesty, I have to say I'm disappointed by this turn of events. Castlevania has the Dracula-market covered, and I think it's about time there's some competition.
I'm happy with thinking pokepal148 is just eating a stick of butter. It seems about right for him. I don't need no stinking facts.
I was looking forward to this...
