Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Downloaded the PC demo earlier tonight and haven't stopped playing yet. Totally awesome. I have spent most my time re-playing the levels trying to complete them in less time/fewer moves. This is a definite buy from me when it reaches PAL regions.

Here's something that makes me sad - world of goo has a piracy rate of 90%.

Quote from: kotaku.com
We received a tip pointing to the comments section of a recent RockPaperShotgun post, in which World of Goo designer Ron Carmel mentioned the game had a staggering 90% piracy rate. We contacted Carmel directly, who confirmed the figure was "about right."

Carmel informs us that he's seen torrent sites with "500 seeders and 300 leechers" and has received emails from people who initially stole the game but ended up buying the full product; unsurprisingly, they make up a "very small percentage." He concludes, "We're doing ok, though. We're getting good sales through WiiWare, Steam, and our website. Not going bankrupt just yet!"

Although Carmel takes it in stride, this is probably a good time for us to reiterate that the charming and fun World of Goo was developed by 2D Boy, which consists of Carmel and his design partner, Kyle Gabler. We want more goo, so please support the 2D boys properly.

Boo, pirates.

crawls out from under rock

How has this game been under my radar for so long? I think the title threw me off, or something. Been watching some video, and will be picking this up when I get home today! Art style is awesome, and gameplay looks super fun, too. Yay!

I blame the $20 PC price-point for a healthy chunk of that.  When the WiiWare version is only $15 PC-users feel ripped off and opt instead to "stick it to the man".  ("The man" in this case being two starving programmers working out of a coffee shop.)

I wouldn't be surprised if the PC version of Bionic Commando Rearmed suffered a similar fate.

Meh, Star Craft had a 90% rate too. It just happens, when it's free to warez people warez anything they see, some even turn it into a gotta-catch-em-all sport and don't care about the actual things they grab.

I really like what I've played of this game. I'm in up to Chapter 3. It just feels very smart without being too challenging.

Whoa, guys, whoa. WHOA... I got this and proceeded to play it for like six hours straight. SO FUN! I love the personality and its total bizarro-weirdness. Tim Burton seems to be a big influence in the art style, and that is a most excellent thing.

Is there a sequel in the works, or what?

No, the creators have said they did what they wanted to do with the game and they're moving onto other projects.

But... I wanted more goo...

You know what, this is fine. NO, it's more than fine – it's great. I'm all for creative designers using their talents to power original projects.

Instead of getting more goo, I'll just watch other people do the goo. I did that just this weekend, and it was surprisingly fun, seeing the different tactics others come up with to solve the puzzles. I had my techniques that I'd used, but decided to just shut up about them and let the person figure things out on their own. It's a different kind of fun, but fun nonetheless.

my girlfriend gave me 2000 wiipoints card and I bought World of Goo out of the hype.

WOW I really enjoy it. I didn't think it would be fun to build stuff, but boy I am enjoying this game hardcore. I played it in front of my mom and she actually thought it was a cool idea.

This game is so worth the hype it is getting. I actually would of liked a easier way to move the camera but still that is a minor problem.

I saw the trailer and liked what I saw. Internet word seems to agree, so I'm definately going to buy it. The question now is, where? steam or wiiware? My guess is that there's no notable differences but you never really know.

Support WiiWare. They need to get the message supporting Wii is worth while. PC is $5 more too.

I think they get some more stuff, but still i much rather play that game in the sofa with a wiimote than a mouse in the office.
