Yes Timesplitters 2 is by far the best first person shooter on GCN. It's both single and multiplayer. While the single player is great, the game is really known for it's awesome multiplayer. It has the best multiplayer FPS action in any console game, ever. Basically the game is sort of a successor to Perfect Dark and Goldeneye's style...but it's still it's own franchise.

yes, this game in multiplayer is awsome, (dont own the game, so cant comment on first person) but lets just say, flaming monkey tag with no weapons gave my friends and i ahsma! on the hospital running away (as zombies, so you can punch each others heads off) from hordes of flaming monkeys is so funny and scary all at the same time

Timesplitters 2 is a great game, you cant go wrong with it. The best FPS since Goldeneye, you wont be dissapointed. I love Timesplitters 2, the single player is great and the multiplayer is so intense and fun.

the single player for this game sucks. but the multiplayer is gold. honestly, after playing metroid prime, i hold my single player first person games to a higher level. in all honesty though, halo was better. i hate to say it, but it really was. timesplitters has a multi that is great though, and equals that of halo. but, when it comes to single player, timesplitters stinks. unless you play against bots, then it gets fun again.

TimeSplitters2 single-player is there as an excuse to make you work for the unlockable stuff (levels, characters, etc).  Seriously, that's the only reason you play it.

Multiplayer is the ultimate bomb though.  I think its multiplayer is better than Halo because of its incredibly fast pace...it reminds me more of Quake III Arena in the sense that things just get hairy sometimes.  My only complaint is that the frame rate gets chunky when you have lots of bots (e.g. 8 bots and 2 humans).

I love it though.  One of the best FPSes I've played on any system.

Got it for $20 at Sam's Club the other day... love it to death. The single player mode is awesome... I don't know what they're talking about. And it's especially good because you can do two-player cooperatve. My favorite FPS every and one of my top 5 on gamecube

Would people pleas stop classifying Metroid Prime as a FPS!!!  IT'S AN ADVENTURE GAME, THAT JUST HAPPENS TO BE IN FIRST PERSON PERSPECTIVE MOST OF THE TIME!

I didn't mind the single player that much. Theres a ton of challenge matches where you have to kill so many in a certain amount of time, and other types of games like that or make it to a certain area, or just see how many flaming zombies you can kill before you die. The more you beat, the more charactors and multiplayer stuff you get. The real game is kinda short, and really hard to beat on the expert level, but I thought it was fun. Theres these cutscene FMVs between chapters that are great too. They really have nothing to do with the game, but they're fun to watch.

I too have this game, and i think it is by far the best fps in GC so far. You can customize mostly everything from levels, music, guns, bots, etc....  Also 100+ characters to choose from with different stats; this game is great, but difficult to unlock everything i still haven't beaten all the challenges or arcade in gold.

I like it better than Halo also, it's more fast paced and alot of action instead of playing hide and seek with your opponents.

The music in Timesplitters 2 is so perfect!  The Neo Tokyo 2019 theme is just beautiful and flows with the stage and your stealthy actions in the first half of that stage!  The remixed Astrolander theme... <drool>  Most, if not all, of the tracks in Timesplitters 2 can be danced to, especially the "Return to Planet X" theme, which I actually threw on an electronica/techno mix CD for a party and everyone loved it (a few people knew where it was from, too )!

Aside from the plotline of the game, which is a bit flaky, the single-player mode is alright, but the co-op mode OWNZ -- that's how I managed to unlock the last stage for multiplayer use, by completing the game in co-op mode on Hard.  Besides, certain stages in single-player mode are just SO MUCH FUN to do (the Wild West stage and Neo Tokyo 2019 are my personal favorites for gameplay).

To keep a long story short, this game is the true successor of Goldeneye 007 for the N64, hands down.  If you don't own it, buy it, it's that simple.

Hahahhaa, you could say the same for Turok and so on, you could also spin it, that metroid is FPS with Adventure elements. Its best not to say its one or the other and come to a comprimise and say its a great game with FPS and Adventure elements

Stick with the sniper and hoot, no matter where you are aimming on them because time is not really going to allow you to aim better anyway. I got 100% and the only real tip I can give you without writing a FQA is tht every hard challenge/Arcade level has a trick to it and once you find th trick, you blow the time/taget away.
