my best friend is into it. I hate going to his place because usually we might play some wii or watch a movie than he goes back into WOW and I just play my DS.
I just don't get it.
you can't beat the game, you don't really accomplish anything so whats the point?
In zelda I can beat the game and defeat gannon.
In mario I can collect all the stars.
In tetris I can just play to zone out and try to get best score.
in Wow you just get a new little mission, do it, and than keep doing it forever and ever just in different ways. I don't care about community aspect in games.
The game just seems to me an outsider so empty and unfulfilling. Same sort of thing with Animal crossing for me, I want a game to have a concrete ending and plot. Puzzle games are one thing, but this is just pointless busy work the game and people keep buying it up and playing it forever.
Sure you can win little battles, but the war will never ever be won, so the excitement of doing one of those quests and completing it is nulled.
The whole thing is a cult and peer pressure brain washes people to enjoy it. What you don't love wow, your crazy. no Sorry anybody who wastes time in a game that can't be finished like this is crazy for not trying to enjoy life and just pretending to be a little elf all day.
I don't want to sound all high and mighty, I do enjoy Final fantasy games, Zelda games but I so enjoy the satisfaction of completing it. Without a final satisfaction I just don't get what drives people to continue on.
I guess sane people will never understand how the brain of a insane person thinks, so best not to think about it
