The Space Invaders Extreme Paddle
« on: July 10, 2008, 06:27:15 PM »

For my first blog entry, I decided to do something a little bit different and create a video blog.  In this edition I show off the Japanese DS paddle controller that's compatible with Arkanoid DS and Space Invaders Extreme.

I really like the idea of NWR growing into video content. Web 3.0! I do have one question though: How can Mister Freeze survive outside his cold suit?

I'm bald too :(

Random Arnie-as-Mr.Freeze quote "I'm afraid that my condition has left me cold to your pleas for mercy".
Now that guy had range.

I think I'll pick up the game first, and then look into getting my hands on the paddle at some point later. It does look very effective.

Lex Luther previews the paddle. Awesome.

I'm surprised to see that the paddle sticks out quite a bit from the GBA slot.

Probably so it'll fit into an original DS.

True, but I would bet there are more DS Lites out there than there are original DSs, so they should have considered the DS Lite population unless of course for hardware reasons they could not shrink in any practical way.

It's because the DS Phat is a man's handheld...

Well, they had two options - one, make it so it would fit into both the original and the Lite, although it'd be a little big sticking out of the Lite *or* make it smaller where it would *only* fit the Lite, screwing over everyone who has an Original DS.

Yes, the wizard behind the curtain is revealed.

BTW not the first time I've heard that.

Both "Lex Luthor" and "pretty scary"

Ice that I wear, clothes that I try....

I can't believe I have a Corey Feldman voice.  That's depressing.

I have a tripod.  I'll use it next time.  And I'll make up the bed.

I BOUGHT THIS PADDLE. IT'S A WELL MADE PADDLE, NOT CHEAPLY MADE AT ALL. IT SPINS AND CAN BE USED FOR SPACE INVADERS, BUT LOL I DON'T HAVE SPACE INVADERS SO I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S GOOD OR NOT FOR SPACE INVADERS.

and lol at most of the comments in this about baldness more than paddle.
