I like how Mega Man 7 had Proto Man as an unlockable and cost $70 back in 1995.

Thanks Everyone.

How many hours (from your save file) did it take you to beat the game?

I'm clocking in at about three hours and I'm currently on the second Wily stage.

Why did I get this game? I can't even get past Galaxy Man's stage. Those damn helicopter thing-a-ma-jigs come down out of the sky and dropped me on some spikes, damn things.

It doesn't help that I haven't gotten the hang of which button is jump and which is shoot.

If only I was 14 again. I beat Contra without losing a life. I beat Ninja Gaiden. I beat Batman for gosh sake. Now I'm crippled because I depend on dual analog sticks and triggers.

Are you guys (vudu, silks, bustin98) serious? Specially you vudu, I thought you were good with Megaman games. Heck weren't you the one telling (suggesting) me to play MM2 on Hard?

It took me 15 hours 57 minutes and 13 seconds.

Oh, cool. I'm doing a good time then.

Just walk in short bursts during the areas where those things drop down.  You can trigger them and stop walking and they'll fall right past you... no need to even step back.

Serious about what?

And yes, I am pretty good at MM games and I was the one you told you to play MM2 on Hard because Normal is slang for "wuss".

Beat the game tonight.  Final play time was 4:43:43.  I wasted about an hour last night because I made it all the way to Wily, but then had to turn off the system, causing me to restart back at the beginning of the Wily stages.  Isn't it about time to abandon that tradition and let me save my progress during the castle?

I think that's right on par with Bionic Commando: Rearmed, right?  I remember Capcom releasing a statement to that effect about BC:R.

Note to people who haven't beaten the game: Wily's Castle just keeps getting harder. Wily himself pulls out all the goddamn stops.

Recommendation: Farm for screws before taking that trip, stock up on 1ups, E tanks, M- tanks, all of the optional equipment (but none of the money-wasting one-use-only crap), set aside like an hour, and then go nuts.
This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.

Wily himself pulls out all the goddamn stops.

This was actually one of the easier Wily battles of the series.  (Not nearly as easy as MM2, but still towards the painless side of the scale.)

It was the Rock Monster-esc Boss from the third Wily stage that was truly impossible.  I burned through three E tanks on that sonuvabitch.

Turns out after four bosses it's only taken me two hours, actually less.  I haven't progressed since then, though.
