Wii version ... looking as good as it is
It looked pretty terrible at the Media Summit.  It would be great if they cleaned it up that much, but I won't believe it until I see it.

This is true. It looked really....not...exciting at the Nintendo Media Summit. I wonder what can account for the disparity between then and now?

Bullshots? On today's Nintendo Voice Chat Podcast, Matt and Bozon where questing the graphical fidelity of what they saw in person and the latest screenshots as well. Although Krome talks about jazzing up the graphics, so I guess we will see.

#3 is Shaak Ti.  #12 is Asajj Ventress.  #18 is Aayla Secura.  If they're including those, then several Jedi I would also expect to see are missing, including Ki-Adi-Mundi, Kit Fisto, and Plo Koon.

Yeah, and yet there are some of them in the roster already.  I don't get how that argument keeps coming up for noncanon video game funstuffs.  It's just like saying that Bowser and Samus shouldn't be in Smash Bros. together.

Smash Bros. is set in an alternate universe. Star Wars Force Unleashed is supposed to take place in the same universe as the other movies. But if other dead Jedi's are already in there, then I don't see why they couldn't include the ones you listed.

But it's a vs. mode. Those characters there aren't in the story.

Heck, the whole Force Unleashed game just goes willy nilly with force powers, WAAAY more powerful than almost any other force application in the movies, or even the expanded audience books.

In the Jedi Academy Trilogy, Dark Force Rising, and even Darksaber you see a lot of stuff closer to what is being done in the trailers of this game. In Champions of the Force the Jedi students, not even full fledged Jedi, were able to push back an entire Imperial attack force that included more than 1 Star Destroyer, with a little concentration.

As for the in game story, dead characters need to be dead end of discussion. But for the vs. mode sure bring back anyone you want. Just also make sure that characters who haven't been born yet or are still little kids are showing up as full grown adults either for the story mode.

Palpatine once killed an entire planet by draining it of all life and energy.

"The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the Force."

The Force is ridiculously powerful.

I would spring for any version that lets you play as Palpatine, regardless of graphical inferiority.  He's the only reason I own the prequels on DVD.

David Lo Pan's neon-laced skull backdrops are fearsome indeed.  But Palpatine shoots lightning at digital Muppets from behind the safety of office furniture.  Battle tactics!

The game is actually looking more and more solid, IGN's videos show a vast improvement over the Nintendo Media Summit!

Battlefront II features Palpatine as a playable hero for about 6 stages.  He has riduclous power.  He and Dooku can use force lightning, and it is a savage power to let loose in the presense of dense enemy formations.

You also recover health for killing, so he is a fearsome beast indeed.
