While the graphics and gameplay are still too early to judge, one thing we can all agree on is the terrible name.  SpyBorgs?  Really?  How about "SpyBob" or even "SpyBarge"??

What does "Borg" even mean, well, according to dictionary.com:

American Heritage Dictionary -
Borg      (bĂ´rg)  Pronunciation Key
Swedish tennis player who won five consecutive Wimbledon championships (1976-1980).

On second thought, a game about Swedish tennis players would actually be pretty cool.  Guess I was wrong afterall!

Yeah Spyborgs is a pretty bad name, when I first heard the name I thought it was some goofy kids game from Capcom. Hopefully they change it!

It's a Wii exclusive from Capcom that they're giving high priority to, looks like more traditional gameplay, is called by Capcom "big and epic", and has what sounds like a very talented team working on it. I'd say the correct response is cautious optimism.

I liked the teaser trailer, but those graphics do need some work.

And yeah, SpyBorgs is an awful name.  It's a pun of "cyborgs."

It sounds like spy kids, and if its half as awesome as the movies I'll buy the game in a second If you don't realize why those movies were so awesome you suck

I'm definitely interested, shooting and slicing seem obvious gameplay mechanics but mixing?, gliding? I'm very intrigued, I think it can be really awesome.

So far, they haven't shown anything interesting about the gameplay.

And I'm not big on the Western cartoon style.  Whatever the gameplay, it's got to embrace the style, at least like Zack & Wiki efforts.

It's also apparent Capcom has a Wii project, yet aren't the ones working on it.  "Support" comes into question once again.

EA moves up to the number one third party slot with this Capcom stumble? That's freaking depressing.

Right now, the comparisons to Rachet & Clank (a series the Creative Director for this game cut his teeth on) are most apt. That's a game that also heavily references and parodies saturday morning cartoon superhero motifs.

I don't know if I would call the art direction on Ratchet and Clank inspired either. It is definitely more polished than this though. Not just in textures and character models, but in execution. It's still early, so I can't dismiss Spyboring-orgs just yet.

It might be cool, but right now it looks like it was designed by committee.

Wait now Capcom is relegated to a style?

It's not like all Capcom games look exactly the same but they still have a Capcom sort of look, you know?  It can be Zach & Wiki or Resident Evil and there's still a "that's Capcom" look to it.

Nintendo is much the same way.  Wind Waker and Twilight Princess both look like Nintendo games.  But then when something is made by N-Space or NST it doesn't quite look right.

It might just be that I can spot when a game was made by an internal team or farmed off to some random dev.  The internal teams are at such a higher level that even the graphic design stands out more.

Spyborgs has that sort of EA look, and I mean that as a big insult.  I pretty much just told the developers that I slept with their mom.

I'd call it more of a western look than an EA look.  EA's tentacle rape of the industry lead to them not being unified enough to have a real EA specific look.

Well considering EA has been a great 3rd party for Wii so far, I consider an "EA look" a compliment.

If it's developed by Bionic Games, it's not a Capcom game.

Problem solved.

So F-Zero GX isn't a Nintendo game because it was developed by Amusement Vision.

I would say F-Zero GX was co-developed by AV and Nintendo supervised the hell out of them.
