I like the way in Evan's talk about meeting Bloodworth, I was just the "short guy in the bucket hat" even though I'm 6'2"...

Thanks for mentioning me Evan!  Guess I was forgettable!

Are you taller than me? Weird. Compared to Blood, anyone's short. You were not forgettable. I love you.

Congrats on your 100th birthday. I love the show, by far the best gaming podcast on the net!

Finally finished it in the car today. (Yeah, I drove a lot today.) Awesome episode guys...I feel bad for not listening more frequently during the "first season" now. Mad props to James for all the editing--especially with tracking down the various show highlights!

Just a couple notes about the show that you guys might be interested in.

- The commercials Stan and I did were pretty much improvised. We came up with a basic premise and then just ran with it. Major kudos to Stan for editing them into sounding cohesive. And adding in the goat sound effect. That cracked me up.
- Speaking of Stan, I regret not digging out more Nintendo Pirate Radio stuff when I sent James those clips. If any of you want to check out more Ferguson goodness, he hosted Episode 14, and made his last (and some would say greatest) appearance on Episode 46. Episode 14 is actually what the second commercial is based on, being centered around the argument over games as art.

Anyway, as I said on the show, the new cast has really brought things up a notch, and even though I often find myself wanting to reach in through my speakers and interject, I couldn't be happier with how things have evolved and improved. Hopefully you all won't mind if I occasionally pester them into letting me rant and rave at all of your expenses a couple more times in the future.

Karl gets credit for editing the part with the old crew.  He and Greg really helped track down moments too.

Excellent job on the 100th episode. You guys rock! but what's up with all the hate for Magic the Gathering? I think it's a really interesting albeit expensive game. It doesn't create a new mechanic and then completely develop another mechanic to completely trash the previous one (at least i don't remember it doing so) unlike other card games *cough*wwerawdeal*cough*

I dunno about anyone else's hate for Magic, I don't play it.  But I was just going with Karl telling me that Jonny talks about it quite frequently.  So when I did his voice, I just goofed on that.

But that was just one commercial.  I doubt you were talking about that.

In the end we used a clip from an episode where a slightly intoxicated Jonny had first re-introduced Magic the Gathering and THEN talked about Settlers of Katan.  After we went to break the three of us were dying with laughter, and mocked him while he was away.

It wasn't so much "hate for Magic" as it was "grief for Jonny."

Settlers and it's expansion set is an awesome game... oh man this is taking me back during my last few years in university... we (as in the university's games organization) would have a couple of people playing settlers and magic or any card games on one table inside the school pub and on the far corner of the pub where there's a TV, smash brothers melee and alot of smack talking.

i'm curious, do you guys normally mock each other (in good fun) during podcast breaks?

Sometimes.  It depends on the general tenor of the podcast up to that point.  Sometimes it's just silence as we filter off to get something to drink or use the bathroom.

If necessary we'll talk about what's up next.

I always tried to make Karl cry.  When he did, we'd all get a big laugh and insult his manhood.

Listening to the episode. I'd like you all to know I took a nine year old iMac that someone gave me, upgraded the RAM, and installed a newer version of Mac OS JUST so I could subscribe to RFN on iTunes. I'll have to do a review now too.

We don't really rip on each other during breaks, except when one of us says something extremely funny/embarrassing.  See: Jonny admitting to loving Magic: The Gathering.

Some of the funniest stuff doesn't even make the podcast (or maybe it does; I always forget to download the finished product).

I usually cut three to five stingers.  Each time I cut one I think "DAMN!  This is the best one yet!"

That's not usually the case.  However, I do back and listen to them all and then make my decision.  In retrospect I wish I had kept all the rejected stingers.  I could have just tied them all together.

One bit of audio I would love to have back is the discussion of shooting a Miami Nights commercial while in a hot tub.

Just one comment concerning the episode:

Animal Crossing Wii should connect to the Weather Channel so as to provide real time rain and snow (and overcast days?). I believe that NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams has already done this with its Chao-like mode.

I wish every episode were at least this long.  It's about 20 minutes each way for me to drive to and from work every day, and it would be ideal if a podcast could get me through the whole week.  Sometimes I can use Retronauts as a substitute, but it's just not the same.

Maybe while you guys are taking a break, I'll go back and check out the old ones from before I started listening regularly.

You do know that there's a PC version of iTunes, right?  This rigmarole makes no sense unless you are running Linux exclusively.

I don't know what deal you guys have with him, but Jason Ricci just made something off of his music being on this podcast, over the past few days I've progressively bought all three of his albums on iTunes.

Thanks for answering my question on the podcast. I was only expecting an answer in the forum thread. Great job on # 100 and I look forward to the future. I am not having my hardcore gaming needs fulfilled by the Wii so I am getting an Xbox 360. I will still listen to your podcast so I don’t miss out on anything that may appeal to me on the Wii.
