I still don't see why I should trust a Bioware producer when he says something about Spore.

Because he is apart of the same company?

What same company? Bioware producer=/=EA or Maxis.

They are all EA, so what Bioware says is probably EA policy.

Oh right. I completely forgot that EA bought Bioware. =/

Just in case anyone who cares hasn't heard by now, this is not actually happening, at least the checking every 10 days part of it.

We'll re-authenticate when a player uses online features, downloads new content or a patch for their game.

PROTIP: Spore downloads new content THE ENTIRE TIME YOU'RE PLAYING THE GAME.

I'm pretty sure you can turn that off, or at least limit it. The biggest complaint I could think of about the old system was that it could prevent you from playing when you had no internet connection and that is no longer the case.

That is why I don't play WOW even though I'd like to, I don't have steady finances so my internet is off and on all the time. I would hate to HAVE to have internet to play a game.

That's one of the biggest and most interesting and exciting parts of the game.

I agree, but I think I remember reading that you can turn that off and it seemed relevant to your statement.
