GBA trade ins?

A little while before the GBA SP was released I had heard that you could trade in you GBA and 45 bucks and score yourself a SP

Is that true? or still going on?

I want to get a GBA SP so I think that might be good for me, since I don't have much funds...(Zelda wiped me out ^_^). I'm thinking trading my GBA and maybe of my "forgetable" PS2 games to get the SP and a game(Probably Sapphire or Fusion)

Anywho, thanks for your help ^_^

when i got my sp from eb only about 4 days ago they had that deal going- which i did
so i would guess they still do
also when i bought zelda my eb gave me a nintendo flyer with all kinds of deals hightlighted- including the gba trade in
so i would say that they still could have it but i am not 100% on that one

EB is a major game store
the true name is electronics boutique or electronics boutique game world (EB game world)
basically most people know of this place or babbages as major game retailers- they only sell games
dont worry if you dont know about it- its cool- some people just dont have them in their areas
you can mostly find these stores in malls and such
hope that helps

Are you sure it's that cheap? In the newest issue of EGM there is a coupon in which you can trade in your GBA and pay $59.99 for a GBA SP. I'd think all EB's would have the same policy.

This is how I was told the trade in thing works at EB. You can trade in you GBA and get $35. However if you trade it in towards the purchase of the SP you get $40 off the SP. Therefore as long as you are willing to trade in your GBA you can get the SP for $59. That's $10 cheaper than what the original GBA costs. Quite the nice deal if you are willing to get rid of your GBA and fork over $59. It's probably one of the better trade in deals I've seen at EB. I was really shocked that you didn't have to trade in like 10 GBA games as well as your GBA or some crap like that.

yeah i know what ur talking about , i have the coupon and im thinking about doing it , but on the back it says that it expires on april 30 2003 , so whoever else wants to do it should do it now.

and also i think its a good deal.cuz if u have a gameboy advance and u decide to get an sp thats a 100 bucks, and once u have ur sp theres no use in playing ur normal gba, so u might as well trade it in and pay for sixty bucks for the sp.therefore, its like if ur paying sixty bucks for an sp,but only if u have a normal gba.

also when i get my sp im planning on getting donkey kong country, i love that game!!!!i remember the good old days.and super mario advance 4 a must have even though i dont know which game it is , i know its going to be good since every mario game is fantastic.i hope its super mario rpg    *** well this is getting a little off topic so ill end it here***
i am the sponge from hyrule!!!!!!
