So here's another somewhat useful use for the DS. It's a smallish belt/pocket clip, that measures how far you have walked or run while wearing the device. When you return home, or if you're carrying the DS on you since it too is relatively small (Lite version) you plug it into the DS and get reading of distance traveled and approximate fat burned for the day. It comes bundled with My Weight Loss Coach, and is launching in Europe first, as a person who has recently lost 50+ pounds, (recently meaning gruelingly over the course of the last 4 1/2 months) I'm interested in this if for nothing more than to keep track of my continuing weight loss. I just may have to import this game/peripheral.

I like to pronounce it peh-dom-meh-ter to avoid confusion with pee-doh-mee-ter, which would seem to measure child predators. Which would actually be a handy compliment to Megan's law.

Actually to measure people who have sexual interest in children you'd need a paedometer. paedo = child, pedo = feet.
