I haven't heard anything from Kashogi, so I'll go with him today.

un-mock vote Kashogi

Here's the thing.  When it hits about ten PM, someone needs to calculate the mock votes, and then we all need to change our votes to the same person.  I promise I'll go with whatever earns the majority, but this is necessary for the stop the force choke.

With the way the votes the last two days late comers did not need to vote since they haven't been close, and of course that first day is always a crap shoot, which in the end seemed to work all right.

My guess for one of the two mafia members would be bustin, only because of the different vote on day 2 so mock vote bustin

I am open for some collaboration for I am out of touch with the force currently. Let's hear some wild and crazy theories.

I'm gonna up and say this: Shifty said he was the investigator. He told us who Crimm was, and then he said Atrun Zala was the gambler.
At this point, it's difficult to believe that, and instead, we should question if AZ is mafia or not. This should be investigated tonight.
then, Shifty can be trusted, because he's completely right.

Oh good. Rulings. Yeah, the mock vote idea will work. As I stated in the rules, you are supposed to bold your vote so if it isn't bolded or in this case, is in italics then it won't count.

As for the dupe account, part of me wants to send kudos out to however came up with that one. That was a clever idea and really screwed over oohhboy. I find it wierd that oohhboy himself never said anything about those messages not coming from him.

Still, dupes are against the rules. Perhaps we can all remember back to one game where someone created an account called The Mole and tried to name off some remaining mafia members so that their mafia would be the only one left.

I'll ask a mod to look into it and see what happens from that. I will say that in this case, the dupe didn't exactly give away anyone's identity. They just took one person and framed them so I'm not sure I'm going to exact a heavy punishment. Like I said, oohhboy really didn't do much to defend himself and it was Shift Key who brought the evidence forward. It wasn't like everyone was sent this message. You choose to believe what you saw.

I guess this is a good lesson to be careful who you are talking to. PM's seem to be having a greater effect this game and causing more error. As well, there seems to be a fake Khushrenada account out there also so be aware of that too.
Whoever said, "Cheaters never win" must've never met Khushrenada.

Oh, and I'm throwing my chips in for this mock vote bit:

I agree; it's bullshit if you let something like this slide.  It's completely against the rules you created.
Quote
If you are not dead and wish to tell the players in the game a message, you have a couple of legal channels to do so. One, you can post this information in the voting thread or two you can send a private message to players. You can not, however, create another account and use it to hide your identity while giving out information. If you want to say something, you must accept the responsibility of saying it.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Yeah, the thing with the dupe isn't that he ruined the game, by spilling the beans, is that he broke a rule, and could have done so in several other ways. Basically this is a game about trust and reading people.  So the one constant should be at least knowing you are talking to and receiving PMs from is actually that person.

If you don't want to kill the dupe person, then I think they should be exposed for their role and let us take him out.  That wastes one of our votes and turns, but it isn't immediate...and it would allow them potentially to use their abilities one last time, or to protect themselves.

This is just my reasoning.

Although I am dead, I feel this is the appropriate place to shed light on what I know from my end.

The last PM I sent was on the 4th, before the reset to Lando. I didn't really bother defending myself because I thought it was a photoshop and that my death would lead to death of a Mafia member in such a wanton and blatant move. Also the fact by the time I logged in that day it was pretty late and there was little I could do. Neither shifty or me were aware that dupes were possible at that point in time since previously it wasn't an issue.

It wasn't until shifty had contacted me via MSN was the dupe uncovered. Even then I was gunning for his death until he explained that he received actual messages. It quickly occurred to me he got hit with an Ethan Hunt and it was beautiful. The only mistake he made was that he made it a one shot deal and didn't go all out on a false flag information campaign.

Feel free to edit me it this isn't the place for this.

Why is everyone mock voting me?  If Shifty is the investigator why cant he examine people we think are mafia and then kill them.   Why do we have to kill me off first to realize I am alien.

Alright, so the mock vote went this way:

Darkheart: 2
Daaman: 1
Kashogi: 1

Also, Shyguy voted for Shifty, and Pale voted for someone who is already dead.

So, I guess that means that Darkheart lost the mock vote, so

As for the dupe account situation, I'm not letting it slide. But I did just want to mention that since the situation was not one that ruined the game the penalty is not going to have to be so great to rebalance the game. There will be a penalty but I'm just waiting for the person responsible to respond to the message I sent. Once I learn more about why it was done, I'll inform you with what I intend to do. It may be dealt with privately and swiftly. Like I said, I'll know more how I want to preoceed once I learn more about why it was done.
