Has there been an Animal Crossing mafia?  I just thought I'd like to think about things.

It remains my personal favorite mafia.

Oh yeah, I read some of that.  He was the secret suicide bomber.

Well, thank you.  I'll think of some other theme for this other time, then.

Couldn't we just take some innocent children's television program and corrupt into a mafia theme.  Like . . . SESAME STREET~!

And despite Stevey's claim, it was a mafia win with myself standing at the end to give the mafia the win. Of course, big credit goes to KnowsNothing who helped me learn many nuances about the game very fast. I love Animal Crossing.

Me too.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Mayor Aurion got up out of his chair, Mint cowering in fear behind him.  "Ah, it seems you two are all that's left of this town...Can I ask a question?"  Khushrenada brandished his axe menacingly.  "Sure, it might be good for a few laughs before I kill the two of you."  Mayor Aurion looked him straight in the eye.  "Did you ever find the Bomber's Apprentice?"  Khushrenada was taken aback by such an odd question.  "Pah!  He obviously doesn't exist considering the last ones here are a whore and a wimpy Mayor!"  Mayor Aurion then proceeded to pull off the bandages that wrapped around his face.  Athrun saw Khushrenada's look of fear, and moved from behind the chair to get a better look.  Standing before her was the figure of a penguin.  Mayor Aurion, seeing their gaping mouths, chuckled.  "Didn't expect this, eh?  Well, this has been great fun.  Perhaps we can play again in another life..."  He pulled his pipe out, flipping it open to reveal a large, red button.  Before Khushrenada and Athrun could react, he pressed it.

"Game Over..."  Mayor Aurion gave one last innocent smile and Beanerville disappeared off the map forever...

Bomber won, excepted it...

Yes. And then as Bill further explains in the finale thread:

"vudu, I'm not seeing how my character wasn't "fair"...I wasn't participating in votes and the turn-out of the game didn't change due to the Apprentice's existence...Either way, Khushrenada and Athrun were the last surviving townfolk and that means the Foxes won..."

Bill, himself, confirms that the mafia won the game and that the assistant suicide bomber was just a role for the story which you posted. You keep referring to the story as fact. A little after that post, Blackfootsteps puts the ending this way:

"It was an interesting twist. Seriously guys it didn't really affect the game. Khush was alive at the end and after the credits there was a bit more footage to come that's all. A fun and stressful game all round."

Mafia victory for KnowsNothing, Khushrenada, TVMan, MattVDB and Icecold. Confirmed by the host. Accept it.

EDIT: As a side note, congratulations Bill on the most controversial mafia ending ever. It's still be debated to this day. It's part of what makes Mafia:VI one of the greatest mafia games ever.

It was a very bittersweet victory nonetheless...Like winning a trophy and then on your way home tripping and dropping it down a sewer... ='D

I'm still surprised it ended so perfectly (in the game-defining sense, as I know I pissed off quite a few participants!)...I particularly liked the clash between Redd and Death right at the end...

Cool Mafia Themes, that just won't work:

Iron Chef Mafia.  The Mafia are the Iron Chefs and everyone else the challengers?

Futurama mafia
DC vs Marvel mafia (or any geeky comic theme)
Lost Mafia (Others are the Mafia)
Heroes Mafia

Teenage Mutant Ninja Mafia
Saturday Morning cartoon Mafia
Teen Girl Squad Mafia

True. At the time, I remember thinking I was robbed. But now I look at back at the game with fondness and for a long time, I thought it was my greatest victory. Not only was I able to outlast 28 competitors and survive to the end with Athrun but I did it as mafia and was even getting hunted at the end by townies. Plus, the killer was alive to the very last day meaning I could have been whacked at any time. All in all, I thought it was a very good showing for my first time playing.

Plus, looking back at the early games, a lot of times the story ended with everybody getting killed in the end, even if they won. So, I just view the ending as continuing that tradition and like I said, look back at the game with fondness. They don't make 'em like they use to.

Good job Bill.

This one seems to be pretty true. Thatguy and I wanted to do a joint mafia where the theme was DC comics. Basically, there would be two leagues of villians for two groups of mafia. The hardest thing though was roles that would match with the characters. I thought we were coming close to a good solution but then I was away for awhile since I couldn't log on or access the forums (back when the old forums trouble began) and when I finally came back to the forums, thatguy had started the Calvin mafia. Now, I'm going to a mafia game on my own so the idea stays in limbo.

That Simpsons mafia counted, that was my win there, after losing Poke'mafia because we could never kill 18 Days.

I had thought up most of a Prison Break themed mafia about a year ago that would have used some of the twists and turns from the first season and a half in it. It could still be done, going much past that and things could get crazy. It is a show where you have to pick a certain set of episodes and use those for the setting.

I've played every mafia game (except the one that only lasted a day) and so far I've only won one game.  F-Zero mafia ruled.

We don't need a clever idea for a theme; we just need someone to get off their lazy duff and start a game.  1-2-3 NOT IT
