So many secrets! (some spoilers)
« on: March 30, 2003, 09:54:11 AM »
Ok, this post might have some spoilers in it, but I'll try to keep it down, k?

For example.

Magic Armor.  I got that really, REALLY early on... and so far I haven't really needed to use it, as it's way more common to be in need of magic than health, but I think it's really cool that a sidequest like that could pay off with something as cool as that.  And none of the FAQs, that I've seen, even make mention of it.  And then there's the DX Pictobox... and the Hero's Charm (is that supposed to be a grinning mouth, or something less rediculous?).  Then there's all the fairy fountains (I wish there were more; I got all of them pretty much as soon as I could accomodate each one.  Either that or make them harder to find; like in LttP or OoT, they were out of the way, where as in WW they are just there, and it's really easy to recognize their distinctive silhouette as you sail by.)  And then there's the special spin attack, and gaining levels in combat with Orca.

So, this thread is dedicated to the little-known secrets.  I thought there were alot in OoT... but Wind Waker makes that seem almost linear.

Another secret:  just go up one of those towers with the pink guys who you can grapple joy pendants from, steal their pendents, play the song of passing (you don't even need to kill them), steal again, play, steal, play... I hope it works with those Knights Crest guys too.

Is there a prize for 10 more Knights' Crests?  What about getting the maximum number of hits in on Orca? (I'm still stuck on trying to get 500... all it takes is for you just to mess up, no matter how methodical you are the rest of the way).  Any other magic spells like Magic Armor?  (although there are no spaces left ... ).  Any secret moves (I somehow thought there were three... maybe that has to do with getting more Knights' Crests).  What about that Joyous Volunteer Society dealy?

If you've got questions or if you've got answers, then please post.

I tried giving ten more Knight's Crest to Ocra and he said he had nothing else to teach me. You're on 500 hits with him? Wow you're good, or just lucky. I'm on 300 but he keeps hitting me when i'm in the middle of a parry attack.

Hero's Charm? How do you get that? Just give me hints please.

You get a heart peice from Ocra once you reach 500 hits. Now I'm working on hitting 1,000 so I can be called a master.

How does being called a "master" help you in the game?

Just asking, that's all.

In Windfall.  You go up wood stairs, then it goes to stone and you go in a fancy door.  It should have changed from the fat rich man to the skinny, ugly rich man.  Give him 40 skull necklaces and he gives you a treasure chart, I believe.  Any other necklaces you give him thereafter earn you rupees.

hi i need help. i want to get the dx camera but cant seem to catch any fireflys by the deku tree. please help if you can.

By the way if you give the ugly rich guy 20 of those skull necklaces he gives you the map. Also, I have got 600 hits on the master guy. My tip to those who are having trouble is  try and corner him then hit him three times and hold up your shield. it gets a bit boring but it really works. i didnt get more than 600 cus my boyfriend decided to walk in front of the tele.

Dont forget to help me please.

1000 hits isn't that hard as long as you play it safe. Don't try to hit him more than 2 or 3 times in a row. After you hit him, back up and don't try to parry, just jump away from him. It may take a while, but knowing that you are a master just gives you that warm fuzzy feeling.

I got about 750 hits on Orca.  After that I just didn't care any more.    I had been fighting him for like 2 hours prior to that, and I was sick of it by that point.

Aimes, if you haven't figured this out yet: there's one particular firefly you have to get.  It's in one of the corners of the Forest Haven, and it shines this big light on the walls.  It's larger than the rest, too.

ok first of all there is more than one of those fireflies in the forest haven, about a third of the fireflies are big.im still working on getting 1000 hits with orca and if you think its "so cool" to be a master swordsman on zelda forget it and buy LoTR Two towers much more moves and combos with a sword, knives, bow and arrows, and an axe.I am trying to get all of the figurines,at the forest haven,of course,I wonder what theyre all for.And just a comment, but i thought the first boss at the dragon roost island was the hardest boss,i even beat ganon and ganondorf on my first try with just one fairy and a bottle of that elixer stuff ur grandma gives you.And i know how to get tons of money at the dragon roost island with that mail throwing game thing.just keep getting alot in but just dont get more than 20 or 25 watever the number was, that way u get like 20 (or does it double? 40?) every time you do it.

Uhg writing that took awhile...o well
