Well like alot of you I'm sure I bet you can't wait for Soul Caliber 2 for cube and just like me just don't understand why a game with so little to translate is not coming a america until fall. But at least its import friendly which is why I'm thinking about buying a freeloader disc and a copy of Soul Caliber from jp. But I have a question about my memory cards will I need a jp mem card or can I use my american mem card? I've heard there's some issues about formatting or something like that so I just wanted to be sure before i decided to import it.

I have 5 mem cards. I could format one in jap and send it to ya. I'm feeling nice, and you didn't bitch about me correcting your spelling.

You don't need to import a memory card, you can buy one domestically (europe or america whereever you are) and it will work with the JP game, is the game that formats the card, after a card is formatted for a JP game you can only use it with JP games. If you accidently save another region game then its going to reformat it to that region and you will just loose your saves.

well you have to mod or use freeloader and i am sure in the menu when modded you can format there or i as sure the game will format the card itself, but you can only use that card for jap games.

If your Cube is modded, then you boot in Japanese and access the memory card menu.

If you use a Freeloader, from what I've heard, you need a card from the same region as your Cube, and it will mix regions on the memory card (though using a seperate card for imports is recommended).

Ok so I guess you guys are saying I just need to by a mem card or just use a blank one I already have and only uses it for soul calibur because once I save it then it will only work with jp games . Ok sounds good thanks for the help. And thanks for the card offer man thanks but you don't have to do that if what there saying is true then I should have no problem. By the way have any of you heard if the cube controller layout has been a problem with sc since most fighters don't work well with the cube controller. I'm hoping it plays well I mean sc's combos have always been pretty simple to pull off and never a big pain compared to other fighters. The way I figure even if the cube controller sucks I'm going to get the ps2 controller adapter .

I think the cube controller is a pretty good match for soul calibur, much better than either the PS2 or xbox controllers IMO.
