SharkWire (N64)

Anyone ever actually mess with one of these?

I picked one up on eBay for $5 for fun and I'm wondering if anyone ever subscribed to it...

What an odd N64 peripheral. It would have been awesome if they would have included a mouse and anyone could play they're favourite FPSs.

I saw one at Software ETC.  I remember wondering what the hell they were thinking, and then pondered if I should buy it and save it as a collector's item.

They were expensive as hell.

Yeah... according to the IGN article, they were originally $70.  I got mine, brand new, on eBay for $5 last week (arrived today).

Sadly, the keyboard that came with it appears not to work.  I used my computer's keyboard and it worked fine - except that you cannot connect to the SharkWire server (duh), and thus can't get past the registration.
