AKI is developing it so I should have reason to be optimistic, right? even tho I'm not a fan of rap music, this game looks like it will give me my wrestling fix I've so desperately needed ever since the disappointment that was wrestlemania x8.

Ya because its made by Aki, it should be alot like No Mercy. I read like No Mercy, you can buy moves, costume, matches, etc with money you win from matches so the replay value will be higher. I only wish that it was not jut Death Jam. I wish other labels like Arthermath, Deathrow, Ruthless, etc was included in the game. Oh well..
Don't blame me, blame the..... umm... what was it.. the thing that starts with a S

Too bad there isn't going to be a CAW, then it will be a must-buy for wrestling fans!
Well, maybe not a must-buy, but still good!

Def Jam Vendetta looks to be a great game. Although, it's main focus is wrestling - it is not supposed to be a "wrestling game". DJV is supposed a fighter where the object is to beat some ass and have fun doing it. I don't really care about the lack of a "Create-A-Wrestler" because, let's face - game play is more important than options. You can have all of the options in the world and still have a lousy game.

If you want a "CAW" - wait for WrestleMania XIX.

A "create-your-own-character" editor isn't an "option". It's a totally kick ass feature that adds loads of fun. And for a wrestling game, it lets you REALLY put yourself into the game (provided it lets you choose your own moves). Imagine making a character resembling yourself and going up against "the game" or "the rock" or "the [insert cheesy name here]" for the "cruiserweight title" or the "World Title", or the "[insert other worthless title here]". But seriously, CAW's really do add a lot to the game.

Hey, if rap isn't your thing (it's not mine), check out "Ultimate muscle". It's based on the cartoon, and is cel-shaded, but it looks super fun. Outrageous, impossible finishers... It's also being made by AKI. Even though it's less realistic, I think this game might actually end up being more fun than DefJam Vendetta. Besides, who looks for realism in prowrestling? And I'm not bashing prowrestling when I say that; I love prowrestling, but I honestly think UM will be more fun than DJV.
