Nyko's wireless nunchuk Seriously though who needs a wireless nunchuk, the normal nunchuk provides a good length of wire and I would never trust the motion sensor from the thing since we all know how nyko messes up on a lot of peripherals but atleast they kept most of the aesthetics from Nintendo's nunchuks.

Have you ever play Rayman Raving Rabbids?

I've been waiting for a wireless nunchuck for a very long time.

I have both RRR and the wire barely gets in the way, I wouldn't trust nyko the the motion sensors though considering that Nyko has troubles with rechargeable batteries.

But isn't a wireless Nunchuck an oxymoron? If you take away the connection it is just two sticks...

Btw, this is offtopic, but does anyone really know what the point of nunchucks is? As a weapon I'd much rather have a sword, throwing stars, spear, mace, and well just about anything... are nunchucks just intended to show off ninja skills or do they have some practical use?

I'm with capamerica. While playing Mario and Sonic the wire can get a little crazy and annoying so the idea of a wireless nunchuck is a good one. However, I do agree that the motion sensing might not be as good as the official nunchuck.

I need more impressions and reviews before checking it out.

nunchucks have the advantage of the chain when in battle with someone with a sword, a skilled person with nun-chucks can use the chain of the nun-chucks to wrap around the sword and disable it from the other persons use.  Nunchucks can also be swung faster giving you the ability to deliver more hits over a sword.  Remember you don't really deliver your death blows with nunchucks, but use them as a tool to disable or confront whatever weapon you opponent has, then use your hand to hand fighting skills.

Okay then. I guess that does make some sense when you put it that way. But I'd still rather have a lethal weapon if I were given a choice, lol.

I didn't trust third-party controllers before the Wii, and the addition of the motion sensors there's no way I'd buy one of these. If Nintendo themselves offered a wireless nunchuk, though, I'd probably get one; the cord is usually fine but occasionally gets a little annoying, and though the added cost of another battery wouldn't be good, I think I'd like the added weight it would give the nunchuk.

If the third-parties want to make Wii controllers they should make a Classic controller that has the shape of a GameCube pad, or better yet an N64 controller. I would buy one of each of those.

I'd also worry about the motion sensing.  But what I'd really be worried about is throwing the nunchuck at my plasma tv.  I've had a couple of slips with the wiimote, but the strap catches it.  What is going to catch this nunchuck in a game that requires motion for both?

I know thrustmaster made a Wireless Classic Controller alternative that plugs into a gamecube port but thats really Wavebird with rumble alternative, the only downside is that it uses 3 AAA batteries for some sick weird reason.

I wish Logitech would make Nintendo peripherals.  That may be the only third party I'd believe capable of making a non-sucky Wii remote and Nunchuk replacement.

Well, if you think about it, the nunchuck really doesn't need to be sensitive at all. It just has the accelerometers, which are used in most games for only left, right, up and down thrusts.

It's evident when you play Wii Boxing - the nunchuck isn't nearly as responsive.

Or Hori.

Anywhoo, you can get that Thrustmaster controller for less than $15 shipped from Dell right now.  Check the Amazing Deals thread.

Does the Thrustmaster work for GameCube games?  It would be worth it just to be able to play Megaman Anniversary Collection with the jump and fire buttons reassigned.

The only problem with that Thrustmaster is that since it's really a GCN controller it doesn't have the Home Button

'meh.  If you're using the Classic Controller, you'd have the Wii Remote in your lap anyway.  If you really need to access the Home Button, just leave the Wii Remote near by.
