"Now that I own my own house, I actually enjoy mowing the lawn. It's only a chore when you're a kid and your parents make you do it, when you mow it as you feel like it, it's enjoyable."
I'm with PartyBear. The truth is I NEVER feel like it so it's just as big of a pain as it used to be. I can put it off for weeks and still hate doing it. The only advantage is my house has a much smaller yard than my parents' house.
I think Brandogg is one of THOSE people. You know what I mean. That guy who on the first slightly decent looking day of the year cranks up his mower thus making us lazy mowers look bad and putting pressure on us to start mowing ourselves. I used to HATE hearing that sound because I knew my Mom's nagging voice wasn't far behind. Currently that isn't an issue since I live alone but in time the nagging voice will come from a wife. I hate neighbours who enjoy working their butt off. I hate the early lawn mower. I hate the early leaf raker. I hate the frequent house painter. I want everyone in my neighbourhood to live in a dump and be content with the more free time such a lifestyle allows.

My brother's theory is that Hank Hill type people who like doing chores do so because they're constantly bored and lack the creativity to amuse themselves some other way. I don't like mowing the lawn because there's always at least something else I COULD be doing that I'd rather be doing. The guy who mows his lawn during a heatwave when all the grass is dead must not have something else to do.
