Topic: Rough situation...

I'm in a bit of a bind, I live with my father, I've taken care of my family since our mother passed away in '95.

Everything was put on my shoulders, as my dad worked. During that time he received my SSI checks (Which started by my mother several years prior to her death)
he would receive said check until '98 for some reason it was cut off. I had no idea I was getting them or what was wrong with me to get something like that.

As much as I knew I was born a premmy (sp?) Now I've taken care of my family for well over a decade before they left to to their thing after high school, I've worked nearly two years at McD's, before being let go and have since then haven't been able to get employment.

I've been going to night school to get my diploma, my school screwed me via giving me a "Special" Diploma which I was never aware of.


My father recently got remarried, Which burdens me, as she wants to be a house wife and has been stirring up crap to get rid of me.

Now my father wants me to do something or find somewhere else to live... I just don't know what to do, he doesn't appear to listen to anything I say, and I lack the transportation to get around.

I'm pretty furious with him, after everything I did to help the man he treats me as if I'm disposable.

I just don't know what to do, I'd love to work but will anyone have the patience for someone with a learning curve?

I'm trying to get my GED to go to college for Computer Specialist courses, but I guess my goals mean nothing to them.

You need to get a job at a place like Fred Meyer, a giant multi-department retail corporation that has a union(you can get reasonable health care) and they'll hire anything that moves.  It is almost impossible to get fired as long as you show up.  Trust me I used to watch it.  Then I would keep doing your night classes until you get yourself a high school deploma/GED then work towards one of these jobs:

They don't require a college degree and pay very reasonable.  I might suggest living in a low cost of living city so you can live more comfortably and lower job competition.  Do all that while slowly moving up the pay scale at your other job, you'll get a to a reasonable pay level and get good health benefits quicker then you know.

In terms of what to do about your father, I don't know.  I would just try to avoid him, he is just in honeymoon mode.  You probably can't do anything to bring him out of it either.

well I don't know where you live but there is bound to be one of those multi-department crap stores there :p
