Sir_Stabbalot enters the thread, finding nothing worth responding ti in the OP. But as he is about to leave, he notices the replies. Something triggers again in the back of his mind. That old fear surfaces. He falls to one knee, visibly tortured.

Had the threat grown while he idly rested and slept? Had the seeds of corruption been planted while he solved interesting puzzles via the use of inter-dimensional rifts created at will for his sole use (Portal)? Could it be that as he fought off the Universal Union's last hope of containing the rebellion, that he had let an even greater threat grow freely?

He left, ready to don his power armor again.
