Nihon Bussan announced Crazy Climber Wii for Wii, a remake of the classic arcade action game from 1980, in which you climb to the top of the building with two levers, while avoiding obstacles falling from the top.

The Wii remake will be in full 3D, you use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to climb the building. Up to 4 players can play the game simultaneously. Crazy Climber Wii will be released in Japan on December 20, for 6090 yen.

Look at these beautiful screenshots!

Now . . . I'm sorry but you would think a game that is based around being on a wall 99% of the time would have some decent textures or something. For christ sake this is probably the laziest game ever developed for wii.

Yes, even lazier than Crusin'.

For a minute I thought this was the official sequel to "Ice Climber".

And yeah, this game looks REALLY bad...

Are Dreamcast development kits compatible with the Wii, and we didn't catch the memo?

Calling that Dreamcast graphics would be an insult to the Dreamcast.

I was going to defend this game because it looks to be made by an extremely small developer but they are still selling the thing for over 50 bucks..  If you make a budget game I want a budget price.  Dragon Blade was made by a small developer and they still got things to look half decent.

And Spider-Man for the Atari looked better when it was called Crazy Climber!

I think it's pretty cool they're reviving this, even if the graphics are an upsized deluxe combo meal of lazy!

The graphics here look so poorly done that it almost seems like that would take MORE effort.  This doesn't even look last gen.  This is like Playstation ONE graphics.  It's the equivalent of the Atari screenshot above actually being for a Genesis game.  Crazy Climber 2 looks better than this because it at least has nice 2D sprites.

I've never played Crazy Climber but the concept sounds cool.  This probably could be decent but the graphics look so bad that it doesn't look like much effort is being put it.  Seems unfair to judge but those shots just look dull.  There's a real lack of stuff happening.  So why should I assume the gameplay is any good when the game looks boring?

The Atari version doesn't have much going on but it's an ATARI GAME.  By Atari standards it looks pretty neat.  I mean the guy's sprite is two colours and everything!  I'm sure if this was a Saturn launch title I would be somewhat impressive as well but it isn't 1995.
