A day late, but also awesome. So it's a give and take kind of thing.

Yea yeah, I know you guys like Evan doing his little "newspost humor" bit, but that crap is lame. We all know I'm the best there ever was about describing a podcast that I appear on, once a week, here on NWR. Man, it kind of puts your life in perspective when that's your one claim to fame, huh?

MOVING ON.

This show's a doozy. Jonny couldn't make it (something about the "real world," whatever that means), so we called in yet another favor from the Player One Podcast's Dan Dormer. Together, he, Mike, and I discuss the woners wonders of Yaris on Xbox Live, the Ratchet and Clank demo on PSN, and some Nintendo goodness just for good measure (Horse Life! Whoo!).

For the feature, we go to town on last week's Nintendo conference in Japan. A new Fire Emblem, Advance Wars, new details on WiiWare, and a whole lot more can be found here, so you don't want to miss it.

Remember to send us your latest and greatest comments to our email address, and while you're at it, hit up iTunes and Digg via the links above.

See ya next week, folks!

Bump for great justice! I think releasing this on Friday threw off everyone's podcast consumption balance Karl. You put your sitcom up against the Cosby show!

On the subject, This was a great podcast. The fight over the Horses game was classic (seriously how long did you guys have to rehearse that?)

BTW, is this Mike's auction item?

Yeah, for serious. Where all them comments at?

As for the Horse Life bit, that's all off the cuff, baby.

I think your audience listens to 1upYours and/or Wii-k in review podcasts on Fridays.

EDIT: Just wanted to put my 2 bits in about Everyday Shooter and Portal.  These two titles are shining examples of developers (or developer in the case of Everyday Shooter) in the early-mid 20s, pushing innovative twists on gaming. I saw some interviews on Gamespot about the people behind the Orange Box, and saw that the Valve/Team Fortress 2 guys are in their mid 30s-early 40s whereas the Portal team are much younger. As the O.G developers start to get some grey, and think about retirement, rest assured that the young bloods will pick up where they left off. Hopefully other companies have some of this forward-thinking mentality *cough*Nintendo*cough*...

FYI Karl, Ninja Gaiden 2 came out in 1990. You were probably fresh out of your mother's womb, and couldn't be expected to have fine motor skills, let alone pick up a controller. Ninja Gaiden 2 is easier to swallow than its predecessor, but not by much. Add the suspend feature, and you've got a game that's doable. Ninja Gaiden 3 however, goes the opposite way, by giving you limited continues. You've been warned....

The Pandemic/Bioware/EA threesome still baffles me. It seems that EA's the one getting the most out of it, since Pandemic/Bioware were doing fine on their own. Let's hope that history doesn't repeat itself, the same way that Maxis, Origin, and Westwood Studios 'vanished.'

The rest was basically old news. I'm surprised there wasn't any mention of NOA's game summit.

Any special plans for NWR's 75th podcast?

Just got around to listening to the podcast.  It was surprising pretty good, even with the lack of Jonny and/or Windy.  I'm warming up to Dan Dormer.

It wouldn't be a RFN talkback thread if I didn't rag on Mike for a while ....  Is it ethical of him to use RFN and NWR to promote his eBay auction?  I seem to recall a policy against promoting stuff that like as part of the forum rules; it's a gray area as to if that applies to other sections of NWR.  Also, I've asked this before, but never received a response--how old is Mike?  Aren't you supposed to stop caring about college football once you graduate from college?

If Windy's not a part of episode 75 you should try to get him on for 76; I want his impressions of E For All.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Mike is 23, the same age that's on his profile. We enter our birth dates there, so it keeps up with how old we are on its own. We don't have to update it. As for why he still cares so strongly for the Seminoles, it's probably because he still lives in Tallahassee, and works for the university. And as for the eBay auction, the rules say that you cannot advertise. The staff can do whatever we want.

Windy was supposed to be in Episode 75 (going up later today), but unfortunately, scheduling conflicts got in the way.

I can't wait for November 24th.  Just saying.  It should be a good win for the Gators.
