Another idea: What would we call it if Cray* made it a scalable system, i.e. you can plug together multiple N5s and multiply the device's power that way? Imagine a console retailing at like EUR70 which supports only one player but you can plug 'em together to get multiplayer, with each player having a full machine to handle their input and graphics. Or plugging more of them together to play more demanding games. You could even sell it in 1, 2 and 4-packs!

Does anyone else remember that the N64 was originally called the NU64 (Nintendo ULTRA 64)? I remember talking with my friends about when the NU64 was coming out and what games it was gonna have. But then they got rid of the Ultra

I hope they somehow put Ultra into the next system. I personally like the NUES (Nintendo Ultra Entertainment System) or UNES (Ultra Nintendo Entertainment System).

It's a simple name that's already been used before, but I've always loved it; I hope they go with Nintendo Famicom. It doesn't seem like a "kiddie" name, but it also doesn't seem like they're trying too hard to come up with a mature name. It also brings a bit of nostalgia back for Nintendo fans.

I don't think famicom will be it. The mystery item theyre revealing at E3 will probably use the name Family Computer. The name of the N5 will probably be something totally new.

I don't think they'll go with Famicom either, but I can always hope! I've been hoping they'd bring back the Famicom name for many years; it's always been my favorite system name.

And they just re-registered the trademark so nobody else could use it, they are not using it for anything new.

But if they do use "NES5" for the new console they might call the japanese version the "Famicom5".
