Which classic stage should be featured in Brawl?
« on: October 15, 2007, 03:04:55 PM »
S_B just gave me the idea for this thread.

Melee featured 3 classic SSB 64 stages (Yoshi's Story, Kirby's Dreamland and Kongo Jungle) so its more than likely that Brawl will feature classic SSB64 and Melee stages. The question is, which ones do YOU want to see return?

Here are my choices:
SSB 64: Hyrule Castle, Yoshi's Story, Pokemon Building, Great Fox
SSB Melee: Big Blue, Classic Mushroom Kingdom, Dream fountain, Fourside, Mute City, Hyrule Temple

I'm actually only expecting Melee stages to return this time, but I would love to see:

SSB - Hyrule Castle, Saffron City (Pokémon Building as you called it)
SSBM - Great Fox, Final Destination, Hyrule Temple
Toho Kingdom

It may or may not happen but considering they have been working hard on adding extra features and modes I wouldn't be surprised if they include stages from both games.

SSB: Saffron City, Hyrule Castle
Melee: Corneria (Great Fox), Big Blue, Hyrule Temple, Fourside

I'm sure Final Destination and Classic Mushroom Kingdom will both be remade...

Dream Land, you mean.

I want the original Mario Bros. level, above Peach's castle.  I'd also like Saffron City and Hyrule Castle.

I hope that most Melee levels are back, but they can keep Icicle Mountain.

ALL OF THEM AND NOT ONE LEVEL LESS.

They have 3GB of space to work with now. If they don't have all the SSB64 AND Melee levels, they're slackin'.

I thought Wii can read DVD-9. In any case, I agree. I'd love to see all the stages........ remade, and resized with the Brawl engine.

Either way, I wouldn't even care if the stages weren't updated graphically. I just want them in.

That would be cool. They couldn't be that hard to include.

Unfortunately, the space is being taken by stickers, trophies and Kojima's ego... .

I'd prefer they be remade. That way the stages would be rebuilt with the Brawl characters in mind and they could change what didn't work.

I agree, but I'd take them either way.

Mario Kart DS really upped the ante for old level inclusion in these kinds of games. Two or three will seem like a disappointment, there needs to be like a dozen.

You fail at wording out the world 1-2 song.

That's a ban-able offense!

Yeah, even Mario Strikers Charged featured classic stages.

Its seems like a no-brainer to me.

They have so much room to work with that it would be downright silly to NOT bring them all back.

It is Nintendo we are talking about, I really doubt they will include ANY classic stage much less all of them. Mario Kart DS had a chance to include most of the classic stages but Nintendo opted to include some of them instead.

MK: DS had space issues to grapple with, though.

And it actually saves them time and inflates their stage count if they include more classic stages (and they're not pressed for time like Melee was).

What's the proper enunciation then?

I would like to see the Melee Pokemon Stadium Return, since I would like to have the variety of both.

I would like the Hyrule Temple level back since that was a great level, and one of the larger battle areas.

Princess Peach Castle would be great to include as well.
