Wii Messaging to Computer E-mail
« on: September 24, 2007, 07:16:11 AM »
I noticed when you are putting Wii Friend codes it seems you can also put a computer on there.  But does anyone know actually how to do this, or a good website explaining how to do this?  I have tried and it really doesn't make sense, but I know I would like to send pictures from Metroid Prime 3 to myself via the Wii...so does anyone have any ideas?

Step one:  You enter the e-mail address you want to add to your Wii system
Step two:  Nintendo sends an e-mail to that address asking if your Wii system is authorized to send messages to you
Step three:  You click the link in the e-mail to accept
Step four:  Wait like a week for Nintendo to get around to ungraying the e-mail address from your Wii system contact list
Step five:  Send messages

Last time a checked (like nine months ago) you couldn't send images from your Wii system to your e-mail (and vice versa) so unless they've added that functionality in one of the firmware updates you might be SOL.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Your Wii address is w(insert Wii number)@wii.com

So mine is w3244241040961217@wii.com

Hello..... Twilight Realm is filled with em remember.

You can send pictures to the Wii via email but not vice versa... what's on the Wii board actually can not be taken off by any easy means and I think that was the intent.

There is also a size limit, so you will likely need to scale it down.

Ok.  Thanks, for some reason my friend and I tried to do this and it did not work, but I did it on my Wii and it worked.  It is kinda cool to send messages to your Wii, but until it allows you to send pictures to your PC it is kinda a useless feature.  I hope that with Smash Brothers Brawl if it has a camera feature they are smart enough to address this issue and allow sending of pictures to your PC.
