Had to wait in line for an hour at software etc. for zelda!!!  Even saw quite a few people buying 'cubes (w/free game) and picking up zelda.  The game is amazing!!!  I never got a chance to play the demo...and im glad.  This goes beyond just great graphics...its great art.  Nintendo has out done themselves again...i dont know how they could top this one.
Nintendo is.....what Genesisnt.

Have you had any problems with it not loading.  I heard from a couple of people it would load to the first screen then give that disc read error.

Gah.. I envy you guys.
Especially the ones that already have it.
The EB that I reserved mine at... sigh... resides in a mall that is in the middle of being demolished.
So now I don't know what I'm going to do. =\

Has your EB closed up shop grapefruitman? If it has, there must be a way to get your pre-ordered copy.

Picked it up  on my way home from work at about 5 pm, it's now 9 pm and this is my 1st break from the game.

My 1st impressions are  hard to put into words but I'll try.

This is the purest joy and fun playing a game I have had in years.
Like a child's innocence, it gives me a great feeling of  just simple joy so far. Hope the whole game feels like this.

grapefruitman, if you put money down to pre-order, you have to do something. There must be an EB corporate office or something you can call to get this taken care of, just don't let it go.

i love the refined contolls so much.  They don't get odd when you start jumping around and the extra sword play techniques and combos absolutely rule.

i got me wind waker and i really cant be happier at all.  I have always adored cel-shading but this is a whole new level.  I hope the next Zelda uses cel-shading.  THe game play is so greta.  Everything is just so perfect.  I am trully happy.  And i am only taking a break to Watch adult swim on Cartoon Network.  Inu Yasha is on.  I have been staying up till 1 am to watch it for 3 weeks now and i am not about to stop.  I am willing to lose 30 minutes of game time.  But yes it completely crushes the Hype and then swallows it and laughs at it.  It is just that good,

Is it just me or does it seem that the cel-shaded graphics perfectly capture the art style used in the original Zelda (NES) instruction manual!  After seeing this beauty in motion I was absolutely floored.  It felt like I was 8 all over again, with the same felling of wonder I had as I pulled that shiny gold cartridge out of its box.  I love this game!  Worth the wait, even though it was a long hard wait!

Best damn Zelda game in my opinion. Yes, I have played and beaten every game except Four Swords so that is a valid opinion. I finished playing the first dungeon and was like "holy sh!t. that was just the first dungeon!!!!!". It completely blew any of Ocarina of Time's dungeons out of the water. Very similar to A Link to the Past's dungeons in style only far far better. I loved the fact that you really had to think about what you were doing in each room. You don't have a god damn fairy screaming at you and telling you step by step how to do everything. It was really nice to walk into a room and actually be able to say to myself, "how the hell do I get out of here". It was really nice and big too. Not to mention it took me a quite a while to get through it. I didn't really have any serious problem with it but there were a few times I was scratching my head. Something I don't really understand is why so many people are saying this game is too easy. To me the first dungeon was pretty damn challenging and that was just the first dungeon.

The whole game is just freaking great though. This game was really under hyped in my opinion. I can't believe all the wonderful little details with the characters, the world, and the enemies. The dialog is so much better compared to the card board cutout crap that was in Ocarina. The animation is wonderful too. People don't just stand there like brain dead vegetables. They actually move around like a real person would. And people were bitching about how this game wouldn't be realistic? I really feel sorry for people that are so hung up about the wonderful graphics that they refuse to play it. Hell, I take that back. If you refuse to play this game because you are to immature to appreciate the toon shading then you don't deserve to play it.

I totally agree!  As I was playing through the first dungeon, I did get stuck a couple of times.  I didn't die, or anything, but it's not as easy as i had been hearing.  And the dungeons are huge!.  This game is Zelda perfected.  I can't stop smiling the whole time i'm playing.  Ahhh, to be 13 again and buying the first Zelda....(Tidbit:  TLOZ was the first NES game to be 39.99..I'll never forget when my mom said...WHAT!!!?)

Nostalgia just runs ramoant while I play this game....oh well, I don't want to torture anybody, so off I go.....TO PLAY THE W.W.!!!!

I am also thrilled to not have NAVI tagging along.
The fluidness of motion in this game is just plain breath taking.
I played for 4 solid hours and it felt like 15 minutes.

Oh, come on you 'gamers!'  I hope ya'll aren't calling dragon's roost island difficult; I hope there is another 'first dungeon' being referred to.  Once you pick up on the rythm it all makes sense.  However; I too am amazed at the graphics and how the controls have all been re-vamped.  Good to know I'm not the only one excited about the nostalgia - and I'm very impressed with the way they kept old tunes but were able to change them enough for me not to be tired of them.

I just got done playing WW for a few hours.  I have to say that its getting interesting.  I think that all doubt has been removed on nintendo decision to make Zelda cel shaded.  It would be a shame if the next Zelda on Cube didnt use the same engine.  I have noticed that on my 53inch TV, the game doesnt look quite as smooth as on a 19inch.  I guess that was to be expected, no big deal though, still looks good, and the animation is awsome.  Does anyone else think that this Link could kick the crap out of Link from OoT?  I mean, his sword moves are crazy cool.  And this game runs at a steady 30fps.  I have noticed a few spirts of slowdown here and there, but nothing to get excited over.  So far, I really like it.  Better than OoT?  Wont know until I play it all the way through.

Didn't say it was a hard dungeon, just HARDER than expected do to all the complaining going on.  Is it a hard game?  Not at all.  But it isn't Shrek , either.  It has a moderate amount of difficulty so far.
