Yeah, or adventure games.

I love the Last Express. It recreates its time period and setting so well that just walking down the corridors of the train, and eavesdropping on people's converstations, is a joy. Unfortunatley, the gameplay is too annoying for me to recommend that everyone play it. Unless you get lucky, you'll wind play long sections of the game over and over again.

I remember really enjoying them, but I also remember that they were really cheap. For example, at one point in the first game, you find a whistle. If you try blowing it, a dog runs in and kills you.
