Smash Bros Custom Music?
« on: September 07, 2007, 04:59:07 AM »
Oh, I just saw the "My Music" feature on the Dojo website. This made me smile a little bit.... but would make me smile a LOT is the ability to add in your own tracks like in Exite Truck. I would love to see Samus battle Ganondorf to the Sephiroth theme. Anywho, I think it would just be a really cool feature, and if it's in there it should be an unlockable bosun to make it that much more special.

I guess it would be alright, but I'm so excited about having so many Nintendo themed songs in it, I can't see myself wanting to shut them for a while.

I don't see why you would want to add non-Ninty music to a Smash Brothers game... =\

Nintendo is going to assemble one of if not the biggest collection of composers for a video game ever, then they're going to encourage you to replace all the music with OCReMixes....

LOL true. . . .but remember Nintendo did eventually orchestrate the SSBM soundtrack so maybe they will eventually for this too, adding that to the games soundtrack would be nice. . . .

I still wouldn't be surprised if that option is revealed later. I'd definitely throw in some OCRemix stuff (Super Mario Sleigh Ride), some Nintendopella stuff (Mario Kartopia), and random stuff like Phoenix Wright and EBA songs. Just for fun.

But yeah, I plan on playing this game to death forever, so I'm sure I'll go through all the in-game music either way.

That's true, but what about all the Nintendo music that won't be featured in the game that you might want to use. I say the more available features the better.

Well, I can see why:  Smashing Live.  When Nintendo gives another Smash Bros. concert, I bet the orchestrated versions then will be even better than the game's adaptations.  Then, of course, you can use the third party character's music if it isn't in the game, and things like that.  Oh, and the millions of songs that just won't be in the game.  If you like any of them, you can listen to those, too.

The phrase "My Music" makes me think of the stuff on my mp3 player, not the music in a game.  I probably wouldn't use the feature, but Artisto16 may be on to something.
